West Indies could still be behind Pakistan's NRR after this match is over, but still go through on NRR if Pakistan lose and then Pakitstan's NRR drops below WI's.How quickly do Windies need the runs

They could still go through if they take longer than 38 overs to win since if Pakistan lose their NRR would fall and end up being below West Indies NRR.Official:
If West Indies chases 176 against UAE IN 38 OVERS OR LESS, their NRR will be above Pakistan's.
Wrong. If Ireland win, they will have more points. But Pakistan will only be eliminated if their NRR falls below Ireland's too, right?
So what is the equation? Can the Pakistani expats do their home country a favour?
Wrong. If Ireland win, they will have more points.
No interest it seems. Everyone asleep ?..
Something's different about the new account. Not just the fact that it's new. There's something ever so slightly different about the language. It's a little too fluent, if you can imagine that. It like he try copy Big Nas, but some phrasing be correct. It could well be the original guy, or a very good imitator.
If Ireland scored 300 and Pakistan get bowled out for 299 they will still go out on NRR if West Indies win in around 30 overs or so.if West indies chase this down in less than 38 overs they will have higher NRR than Pakistan
If Ireland scores 300+ batting first and Pakistan is bowled out for below 273, then Ireland and West Indies will be through.
And depending upon Pakistan's margin of defeat, Pakistan's could also go down. So this 36.2 overs on its own is meaningless.According to cricinfo , if WI chase 175 in less than 36.2 overs their runrate goes up.
I think Pakistan is better off at number 4, there is a chance with NZ but we can't face AUS bowling or batting
UAE want to go home too ..Windies will try to finish this 20 overs![]()

For example if Pakistan scores 250 than IRE needs to get that in 33 overs
It is not meaningless. If Ireland beat Pakistan they will be through with 8 points. And if WI chase it down within 36 overs, their run rate will be above Pakistan's. Pakistan can't catch it up with a loss.
In that case, Pakistan just have to beat Ireland's run rate. No?
Is it even possible?
Nope.If Ireland win they are through.NRR wont matter as they will have 8 pts

Ireland will have 8 pts
Pak will have 4 pts in that scenario
Whats the point of beating Ireland NRR ?
Ireland will have 8 points, RR does not matter. 36.2 over target is important for WI. If they get those runs within that, they are confirmed for the QF unless there is a tie in the Ire vs Pak game.
Super over, my friend.
A tie isn't possible.
They have to win. If the lose, Ireland goes through with 8 points and WI goes through with better NRR.
The equation is clear now. Win and you're in.
No super over for group matches. Not even for QF or Semi
Only Final will be decided by super over if needed
These Windies batsmen would be horribly exposed by Southee and Boult in QF
