With the body language of the players at the moment, Malaysia would look an imposing opposition. Amidst the doom and gloom, I don’t agree that this Pakistan team does not have quality players. The combination might be messed up, but they have talent. However, you just cannot do much about the negative body language. That’s the result of Afghans shifting their cricket base from Pakistan to India. If they continue to have access to BCCI coaches, infrastructure and IPL for the next 10 years, they will establish themselves as the #2 Asian team in LOs.

Pakistan's proudest victory is the 92 WC.

That tournament was won because of timely rainfall (against ENG) before Imran Khan and his men peaked at the right time. Same with the Champions Trophy and perhaps the Asia Cup this time around.

Tournaments are won in this manner all the time. It's very rare to see a team blast through an entire tournament like Australia (2003/2007). Hell ask NZ what happened in 2015 after they won every game going into the final. Do you think they feel good about winning a few group matches? Does India feel good about winning that Champions Trophy group match only to get hammered in the final?

If you show up in the big knockout games, it's not a "fluke" as those games are filled with pressure.

So any time a team losses a group game then wins the tournament, it is a fluke? in 1999 WC, Australia lost to Pakistan in the group stages then only snuck into the final when SA choked. Does that mean their WC win was a fluke? Similar things happen in pretty much every tournament. You would hardly see a team dominate throughout the tournament, it's only about winning the big moments.
