for a cricketing board thats almost propped up by Bcci ,typical insensitivity to use a term reminding of a medieval invader is typical of Afgh and Middle eastern world . Still in hangover of centuries old exploits...maybe next time India A will post Ranjit Singh and Bappa Rawal / Shakuni names in *** for tat

arachchige reaches 50 but is playing a lone hand. If he can get the score to around 130 odd they can be competitive in this game

Afghanistan’s second-string squad, Afghanistan A, claimed their first-ever ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup title with a decisive seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka A.

Chasing a modest target of 134, opener Sediqullah Atal led the way with a steady 55 off 55 balls, helping Afghanistan secure victory in just 18.1 overs.

Afghanistan’s bowlers set the tone early, with Allah Gul Ghazanfar and Bilal Sami each taking two wickets in the powerplay, limiting Sri Lanka to 133 all out.

Although Zubair Akbari was dismissed on the first ball, Afghanistan’s chase was stabilized by Darwish Rasoli and Atal, with Karim Janat adding a swift 33 off 27 balls to clinch the win.

Atal's stellar tournament, amassing a total of 342 runs, earned him the title of Player of the Tournament.

not sure about many of the players but Karim Janat has played 65 T20is ( for context Chris Gayle played about 80) and has played the 2021 and 2024 world cup.

doesn't really meet the definition of emerging

Well done to them unlike Bangladesh they have what it takes to be tier-1 team.

Even in Pakistan they have players like Muhammad Haris, Haider Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Abbas Afridi that have already played multiple international matches. Which definitely creates an unfair advantage over the players that havent made international debut.

I literally thought Emerging meant players who have emerged form domestic and are potential future international players.

And U23

Now Im just confused, you can literally have a Imam Ul-Haq as emerging :imam

If Karim Jannat has emerged after playing two T20 wcs he ain't ever gonna emerge.
