No bragging this time around? India should smash these SA trundlers.
 
Dhawan hitting 7 boundaries of 18 balls. Looks like he has got some inspiration from Sehwag.
 
At this rate anything under 280 and India will be disappointed.
 
Rohit Sharma must be the most irritating player to watch for Indian fans, so much talent, but zero termparament.

And Pujara fails again.
 
Guys like Dhawan, Rohit and Raina don't need to play such games.Their selection is baffling.

Between Rohit and Kohli, Rohit always looked the better batsmen to me.

Well India is touring SA later this year right? So they have sent these guys so they can get used to the conditions.
 
Pujara is a rubbish ODI batsman. Hope he is no where in playing XI in future.
He should only play tests

Saffers currenly 70 for no loss in 9. No matter what our batters put up, you can count on our trundlers to make a match out of it :facepalm:

Rasool changes the complexion of the match with two quick wickets. SA A now 79/2 in 11
 
Why are the likes of Dhawan and Rohit playing the A's game? Seems a bit unfair on Dhawan to demote him like that.
 
Shahbaz Nadeem is one of the brightest prospects for us in the spin department. I would love to see an Indian test spin bowling attack with Nadeem and current U-19 player Aamir Gani operating together some day.

Getting used to the conditions in SA as the senior team will tour SA later this year.
 
As I said before Mohammad Shami is the most rubbish bowler of the Indian lineup after Yadav in ODI.
Got so many chances but of no use.... Bowling with an economy of 9.50 in this match. Unadkat looks better prospect than him. I don't know till when selectors will persists with this average thrash bowler.
Shami you are awful!!!
 
this Abbot guy bowled like Mcgrath against us India showing him his true aukaat.

I disagree with this post completely. Shammi ahmed is the best seamer after Bhuvi. He is got a fantastic seam position and he swings the ball very late. He was our best seamer in Zimbabwe as he beat Zimbabwe batsmen more than any other bowler in that series. He bowls around 135-142 and I truly believe he is gonna be the next guy who will carry our attack. Jayadev unadkat has an awkard action and he doesn't have the fitness to bowl long spells like Shammi ahmed.

This match is not even finished. Even if he ends up with higher economy rate, he should be persisted with as he seems to have pace, swing and seam movement. None of our bowlers in this tour has that quality.

I think you haven't seen the matches against Zim
Unadkat bowled better than Shami & beated Zim batsmen 3 times more than what Shami did. Also look at the economy rates of both bowlers in that series.

I have seen the matches and I think shammi was the best bowler there. Don't go by the economy rate, Zimbabwe batsmen were beaten for swing and seam time and again by shammi ahmed. He had the best seam position compared to anyone in that tour. Although he didn't get many wickets, he passed the edges so many times and If the batsmen were any better, few would have nicked it. He s got a fantastic Yorker which no indian bowler does it these days.

Wow.. Is there a match going on?!! Pretty disappointed with the wickets South Africa have dished out.. I expected some good fast bowling pitches... There are no better than cement roads

Hopefully, and I won't even worry if Saffers trash away our team. It is important for us that players like Pujara get the experience, and Rohit, Rahane, Karthik can audition for the tour later this year.
 
Shami is a dud. He is no better than Dinda or Vinay kooomar.

India should look for better talent in bowling. Shami needs to develop some variations, a few yorkers or increase his pace.

I think you hate Unadkat for his wayward action and you are overlooking his efforts.
Time will tell Shami is a rubbish bowler.
In this match Shami is having 10.17 economy while Unadkat is having 4.17 economy...
Still 2 matches left...lets see what your fav bowler Shami has to offer :farhat

He goes for runs in one match, and you decide he is a dud? Unadkat is a joke f a fast bowler man. He s got no pace, no swing, no seam movement either. I have no hopes from him. If there is one indian bowler who can improve, its shammi.

It's not about this match, he has played 11 ODIs and he looked average bowler in all matches and has got only 10 wickets.
Shami & Unadkat both bowled at the same speed in the Zim series.
Unadkat cannot swing the bowl??? Now I am sure you haven't seen the Zim series.
He was nicely swinging the ball in to the right handers in Zim series and bowled yorkers in death overs too.
 
today none of those guys who were jumping up and down yesterday are seen. what happened to them, waiting for this team to lose? :)
 
Looks like SA are churning up flat wickets for these A-games. Don't think its going to be much of a help for SA tour hopefuls.

Pujara's 4th failure in a row.. He needs to get amongst some runs.
 
Big picture after two matches (these matches were never about wins & losses anyway) and the Zim tour.

Batting is not short of options. Karthik has to turn it on. Rayudu is breathing down his neck. Pujara is too good to stay out of the reckoning for long.

Bowling is still a headache ...though I am beginning to have some hopes from Unadkat. Never knew Dhawan could bowl. Mohit looked good but he only bowled against Zim on helpful tracks.

Even on roads, the bounce in SA would be higher than the bounce in India. In any case, playing ODIs on green tops is unlikely to be of much use by way of practice for test matches. Just spending some time out there, playing against pace they usually do not face at home and maybe also some time on more difficult practice wickets should be of some help.
 
Those who rate Bkumar ahead of Yadav and Unadkat ahead of Shami dont know much about fast bowling, wait for a year or so you will know. :waqar

Even if he was swinging the ball in to the right handers, it was around 125-130ks, it is simply not good enough. You have seen Shammi's and unadkat's bowling. Who looks faster? who hurries batsmen? I didn't see any Yorkers from Unadkat dude. Maybe I missed it.

like yadav, shami looks more of a test match bowler with the pacy out swingers. Surprised people here are putting him in the same category as vinnay kumar.

Shami doesn't bowl 140k too often he just bowls at 130-135k and Unadkat too bowls at 130ks
What is the use of speed if the bowler is giving too many runs and taking less wickets.
Shami & Yadav can bowl well in Test matches but till now they have been rubbish in ODIs.
I have some hopes on Yadav and he might improve in ODIs.
I am not telling Unadkat is superior bowler but just saying he has bowled better than Shami in ODIs.
Speed is just overrated in ODIs.

Well, I cannot argue with this since we did not see speed guns on Zimbabwe tour. But, I definitely believe that Shammi hurried batsmen more than unadkat or mohit.

As I told you, Zimbabwe batsmen just could not touch his late swing, if the batsmen were any better, they would nicked it and shammi would have got more wickets. But again unadkat is not the kind of a bowler who you can improve. We have to back bowlers who can improve and become a regular for indian team.

What are you saying???? why on earth a 21 year old bowler can't improve?? why so much hate??? because he don't have muscles and he is slim??? his action is wayward???

SA & future tours will give us more idea about both bowlers.
Anyways Bhuvi, Yadav & Ishant will be back for SA tour and I think these 2 bowlers will not get a match. Lets see who will get selected for SA tour as a fourth seam bowler.

Speed gun was not there in zimbabwe.but with naked eye Shami seems much quicker than unadkat and Shami's opening spells though in helpful conditions was good.he was swinging the ball.Unadkat i thought was bit luckier.
 
Yea Shami Ahmed looks fit for test cricket, ODIs dont brjng the best out of him.

Easy win for our lads, batting is gun.
