Good performance. Finaliy FZ took some
time and it paid off!

Today was again ideal to send out Faheem earlier to bat. Malik should be dropped.

Good win but we can improve further.

Ideally I would like Sarfaraz to be bit more pro active when a wicket falls as we have seen he let loose the batsmen in crucial situations and they form partnerships. Not bowling either Hafeez or Imad when that 2nd wicket fell was questionable as well.

Also I guess its time for Malik to go, I know the chance is really low but its time. He performs sometimes but that is not good enough from a 37 years old experienced player. Its time for Haris to take his spot.

Also considering the world cup is in Eng where Malik's record is really mediocre so....

You missed another reason out Pak got lucky because Sarfraz lost the toss. Lol

A comprehensive win in the end. Pakistan could have easily won by 8 or 9 wickets had a couple of set batsmen not thrown their wickets away. However I still have my doubts about this batting line up being able to set or chase 280 plus totals on a regular basis against the top teams. Just because it was a comfortable win you cannot say that had NZ scored 50 or 60 more we would have still won the game. 280 plus creates a completely different sort of pressure from the outset compared to pathetic 200+/- totals.

I was shocked to see today that Southee is only 29.

The guy seems to be playing for almost forever. It's amazing that he is still that young. He is like the Afridi of Kiwis. Not aging. retaining fitness. Always being there.

Easy victory by the boys today. Restricting New Zealand to 209 meant we were in the box seat. Just needed to bat sensibly which we did getting of to a good start. With the World Cup nearing the top order needs to start firing to give us any chance of being contenders. Now on to the deciding match on Sunday when I will be waving the hilaali from my armchair.

Agree on Malik. He really needs to go. Problem is we dont make the hard calls. We had Malik and Hafeez batting in a dead rubber T20 game just a few days ago. I mean what the....

Congrats to PAK for a much needed win, and better that the best performers were not that experienced, which gives hope. Shaheen deserved a 5 for (he had his hands on 5 wickets though).

NZ lost openers early and KW made a schoolboy error.

Spinners choked the middle overs and the pacers picked the wickets at the end.

PAK had a 50 opening stand and than a 100 partnership at a 5+ RR.
