I distinctly remember the same Billy Stanlake being slapped around by Pakistan last year. It's just a matter of the right mindset.
Hafeez's nothing dismissal set up a miserable tone for the rest of the match. Even the fielding lacked the ferocity and intensity that a low score elicits. It's all about the tone you set.

Talat won't get the kick 'soon' because Mickey and the team management have shown patience with every single youngster so far and will most likely continue doing that.

Of course Fakhar and Babar are better than Shehzad. But Shehzad plays as an opener and will replace Hafeez whereas Babar will replace Talat. Without any performance? Shehzad is not some world class player but he isnt as awful as you make him out to be. He has performed well in the international arena in the past couple of t20Is.

Babar should continue to open and Talat at one down. Let him develop, T20 WC is still 2 years away.

Give him a few more series, also doesn't help that he is woefully out of form. Couldn't score much in the Pakistan Cup either where every lullu panju was scoring like it was nothing.

Considering Australia’s mailing in England, it’s diffuclt not to be contemptuous of Pakistan’s performance today. All it took was a wayward talk fast bowler to dismantle Pakistan in about half an hour.
It was embarrassing.
Once again I would like to highlight how hafeez and malik have nothing to provide in any form of the game when playing a remotely credible opposition.
It looks very good when malik scored a 13 ball 25 against Scotland, but don’t see it to be more than that

Sarfraz shouldn’t be in the T20 side unless he’s going to open, M Rizwan is a better option though.

Sahibzada Farhan should replace Fakhar Zaman who can’t play through the offside and soon his luck will run out.

Hafeez should be rested and Mukhtar Ahmed should be given a chance.

Babar is already an opener in T20s now. He will replace Hafeez. Talat will be persisted or replaced by another middle order batsman in domestic, not an opener like Shehzad. So there is no chance of Shahzad making a comeback in near future.

When exactly did you 'thrash' Stanlake in Australia? He played only two ODIs in that series and had figures of 13 runs out of 3 overs and 55 out of 10 overs.Both of them wouldn't be considered thrashing even in the 90's, let alone by today's standards.

First of all, I said Stanlake was slapped around. At least quote me correctly.

Secondly, as you are evidently an avid cricket fan, I certainly hope you are aware that numbers tell only a fraction of the story. You have to watch the match to sincerely know what actually happened.

Babar and Sharjeel played him with quite an ease and his overall figures were bettered after he was brought in to bowl at the fall of a wicket. If you really want to see the slapping, then check out the highlights of 4th over of the match. You'll see what I mean.
