When we have former pace bowlers like Waqar (Worked as a bowling coach earlier with success), Wasim, Akhtar and we we go to Azhar for coaching.

We have spin bowling coaches like Mushi and Saqlain who have worked with almost every national side and we dont recruit them.

We had batsmen like Inzimam, Yousuf, Younus etc and we hire Grant Flower as our batting coach who averages 29 in tests.

On top of that we hired a head coach in a man who was sacked in his last coaching role and has never coached a sub continental team.

There is absolutely no justification for a team management like this. I am not saying team management should necessarily be big names but atleast they should have some experience and history of success in their last 4-5 years.

What have Grant Flower and Azhar achieved as coaches before being given the role in Pakistani setup? While Mickey's track record as a coach in his last 5-6 years even in T20 leagues is terrible to say the least.

Why a country with such a rich cricketing heritage ended up with a team management as mediocre as this? And also a selector who had no eye for talent even as a captain?

The main problem with the current management is the selection of players for different formats and different conditions. They have been absolutely clueless. For example they have not learnt a lesson after the debacles in UAE against SL test side and Asia cup that they needs to have at least 2 specialist spinners in UAE in the team.
Likewise they don't know which players to select for which format.

What is wrong with the fans. Its just a loss it’s actually good we are seeing who is capable of walking into the WC squad and who is isnt.

Great players don't make great coaches. If that's the criteria then Viv Richards with zero coaching record should be our next appointment.

What stellar playing career did Bob Woolmer have before becoming one of the best technical coaches in the game ?

When did I mention anything about the loss. Its not only about this loss its about the lack of tactics and strategies I have been seeing for last couple of years.

Also when we have more capable persons available to guide our players why have to go to coaches who havent achieved anything as a coach even at club.

Never said hire a great player. In my opening post I said " I am not saying team management should necessarily be big names but atleast they should have some experience and history of success in their last 4-5 years".

Pakistani fans need to stop venting their frustrations at coaching staff on regular basis.

We had G.Chappell who had become a poison. We had to get rid off him.

What you have right now is just a bunch of guys not able to perform up to the level on regular basis. No coach would change this.

Okay but why mention Grant's Test average of 29 which has no relevance to his coaching abilities.

Travis Baylis is a big example, look at what he has achieved with England after their 2015 WC disaster.

This was to emphasize the fact that not only he hasnt achieved anything as a coach but even as a player as well. If not a good coach atleast hire a big name who can atleast transfer his experience of playing cricket under different conditions and situations.

Also I am just questioning the credentials of the coaching staff and what was in their CV to make them coaches of national teams.

We put aloo and green peas in the biryani and expect it to taste like Chicken biryani. Sorry it doesnt work that way.

Absolutely stupendous team selection for the series.

There was a big question mark in batting first as well today on such a wicket.

Mickey Arthur is all talk. He has zero ability to learn from mistakes and select the right players for the right formats and conditions. It is criminal to once again go to the UAE without decent turners of the ball for yet another series

Totally. These kind of questionable selections have been there in Mickey’s and Inzi’s tenure all the way.

I can't really say for the whole team management in general but the biggest blunder for me would have to be the spinning department. After all this time, Mickey and Inzi seriously do not know the insight to pick actual turners of the ball, primarily Umer and Zafar. I really thought Umer Khan would play this series, but they decided to go with Yasir Shah due to experience (why else?).

Man, at this point I hope Junaid plays the rest of the series due to his exploits in the UAE. With Faheem out, an attack of Amir, Junaid, Hasnain, and Yasir would suffice I guess..

Funny thing is everytime Pak give chance to new player they perform yet we been so reluctant to give them opportunity. Hussain just proved there is plenty of good bowler in Pakistan. If I was selector I would also play Musa along with Shaheen, Husnain, and Hassan Ali. Keep Junaid and Amir in squad to play them if one those four fail badly. As a spinner we have plenty of options like Zafar, Shadab, Umar, Usama etc but we are wasting spot on Yasir.
Clueless management.

Surprising how Mickey and Inzi couldnt see that Haris Rauf and Umer Khan could have been much better options than Abbas and Yasir Shah in ODIs.

All good Yasir bowling 40-50 overs in test to get 4-5 wickets without actually turning the ball but in one day cricket I think it's imperative that if you have a leggie in the team, he must be able to turns the ball.

The way yasir's bowling i'd rather have only fast bowlers and have imad and Haris bowl as the spinners. Give junaid some game time.
