I can assure you that majority of indians do not think that india will win the world cup but yeah we are sure that we"ll reach semis.

We have the best bowling attack in the tournament. Our top 3 is good enough to post a score of around 300. We have Dhoni to take care of DRS reviews and guiding Kohli on the field. Our players are fresh and raring to go. And last but not the least we have Hardik Pandya who is going to take bucket loads of wickets on these pitches and play a role of finisher with the bat in his hand.

I know you are just a part time cricket fan but still you should believe that our real cricket team can win the real world cup. You remind me of those fans who left the stadium after CT 2017 final.

Btw I was gonna ask you what do you make of kuldeeps form I beleive not only him but all spinners will be taken apart in this World Cup except nabi I think he’s the best off spinner out there he has a great cricketing brain and without even any help from the pitch he can grip and turn the ball and always keeps it wicket to wicket other than that all spinners have been getting smashed so far

Kuldeep will have a good tourney IMO.
I dont think he will be consistent but he will surely destroy one or two teams ,most probably south africa and windies.South africans do not have any good players of spin except a 35 year old Amla.
Leggies have been quite lethal in LOIS recently so i expect the same in world cup.

Very good comparison except I think Pakistan = England and New zealand = Croatia

India is the best cricket nation today overall and had they addressed World Cup strategically they would have been genuine hot favourites.

However all signs point to a very ordinary journey for India.

This team has big fat question marks on players and their playing positions.

DK has been playing since one and half decades and he hasn’t learnt a thing.

I consider 50 of first 60 balls as not going slow and as risk free cricket. They both don't go slower than that. Also this top 3 has been dominating world cricket from lot of years and is considered as an ATG top 3 which i don't think England top 3 have been doing even for a year and whether they will ever be anywhere near that ATG tag. But yes if india wins this World cup they will be sure shot ATG top 3.

I may not have made it clear but this isn't a top 3 problem but an issue that has come about merely due to Rohit's slugglish starts, as evident from that list posted last week (displayed from Sky), showing his rate of scoring at 3.99 runs per over in the first 10 overs.

If we round this to 4 rpo, this equates to a SR of 67 (to the nearest whole no.), so when you say "India has the best top 3 in the world but they start a little slow", it is unfair to attribute the bit at the end to Dhawan and Kohli as well, because I know for a fact they're nowhere as sedate as he is in the first powerplay or whether it be outside it in the first 20-40 balls (in the case of Kohli).

Aww so true I also added one thread when I was convinced that India deliberately lost match vs England to take Pakistan out of WC. I also wrote .. India has dig the hole for Pakistan but they might fell inside instead A strong Karma possibility here and that's exactly what happened here. Had India faced Pakistan in semis they had 9 out of 10 chance of beating Pakistan but their hate and politics right from top government level had brought such a sad day for Indian fans... felling sorry however I would say well played India. India is #1 or #2 team in this WC without any doubt..
