What's new

A pair of batters you enjoy watching bat together

Dravid & Laxman
Sehwag & Gambhir
Sachin & Ganguly
Hayden & Gilchrist
Dhoni & Yuvraj
Sanga with pretty much anyone.

Don't particularly like watching the current Aussie lot - not really aesthetic barring Khawaja.

Pakistan don't have aesthetic players too, but I would watch if Haris and Asad ever get to play together in their careers.

Currently, it's Kohli and Rahane.

Jadeja and Robin Singh. Their running between wicket and SR used to be excellent.
Inzy and Yohana. Awful running between the wicket, but you always felt that these guyz will take Pakistan of safety.

In ODI's - Inzy and Moyo and Inzy and Saeed Anwar were great to watch!

Played at a SR that was considered above average in those days and all three were great strokemakers so we always felt comfortable that runs will keep ticking and there would be no danger of collapse when they were batting - esp in Asia.

Both of you missed my sad face in that particular post :(:(

It's about partnerships &, since late 80s, apart from Lara, best WI batsmen had been (P)Adams, Shiva, Gayle & for a small period Sarwan. None of them are actually that pleasing to eye aesthetically, hence Lara won't come in this thread. But, Lara alone was one of the best ever treat to watch & when he was in flow, Carl Hooper was indeed someone like Mark Waugh or Azhar - their partnership was pure enjoyment.

Oh okay I understand where your coming from. Didn't see Hooper play so can't really comment on him.

Hooper and Chanderpaul, like watching a gazelle parleying with a crab (the makings of a good sitcom that). But my word, it was fun watching them bat together.
