"A proud moment for me to be with Younis Khan when he reached the 10K milestone" : Babar Azam

Baba Azam speaking after a momentous 3rd day of 1st Test:

"We had lost some early wickets so all i wanted to do was to stabilize innings and play positive cricket"

"Tomorrow Misbah and Asad will attempt to consolidate further as its an important day"

"It was a proud moment for me to be with Younis Khan when he reached the 10K milestone"

"We have session by session targets and will play positively tomorrow"

"We are aiming for at least a 200 run lead in the first innings"

the initial plan was not bad but Babar and YK got out at the wrong time maybe they should have pushed more but givin Babar struggling test career start and Younis lack of match practice one could understand why they slow.

Amazing to be on the other end when such a record made! Must be a story you can tell your children one day

The baton has been handed over to Babar by Younis. The next most likely person to score 10k test runs for Pak was with younis when he reached 10k runs. It seems Babar is destined to do it.

Incredible, witnessing such a monumental feat at the other end; no doubt Babar Azam has been inspired in an emphatic way, hopefully he looks to emulate his hero. When Younis Khan retires the team should not let him walk off the pitch, they should carry him off it and through the guard of honour; the ultimate honour the legend deserves

Babar Azam himself is a run machine and will be the next Pakistani batsman to score over 10k runs in tests.

We hope so, he has right attitude, does not shy away from handwork. Today, they both bite out the difficult time. He still need work on his technique and temperament for test, its nice to see him focusing on test as well.

Great moment for Pakistani fans, first Pakistani in 10K club!!

You assume there will be Tests by the time Babar Azam finishes his career.

As long as England and Australia are still part of this world tests are not going anywhere. Only thing that is going to end will be the lallu panju leagues.
