This so called good player of spin has thrown away his wicket to part-timers. This is not acceptabke.

it was a terrible way to get out, myself and commies saw it coming ad soon as williamson came on that he will fold out... however, with Haris walking in, i for once didnt panic like we usually would have at this stage, felt like we are in safe hands ...

For people critisizing hafeez, You guys just dont understand. Always going on stats
Today when babar was uncomfortable against spin, it was hafeez who was doijg most of the batting. Unless we could produce a better player of spin, this guy is needed.
He played the spinners with ease at the start.
Yes, his choice of taking on part timers is wrong. He needs to play proper cricketing shots, not just go for the aerial route when seeing a part timer. I understand that he does this to take advantage of the situation but today babar and harris showed that you could win matches just by playing proper cricketing shots
That’s his bad luck, law of average - he is so good against regular bowlers that God has decided a way to balance out. If part timers don’t get him out, then how teams can dismiss that colossal?
Bad shot today.
But here everyone has become a pundit and attacking Hafeez, even though Hafeez has actually done decent in this tournament.
Won us the England game.
Today too, he came in at a crucial time, negated Lockie Ferguson when he was steaming in, started hitting boundaries against him for fun, albeit after taking some initial blows.
Yes, today's shot was poor and not needed.
I think he has learnt his lesson, and will only get better. Even at his age he's playing pace superbly.

B mac put him in his place in the comm box. After getting out he looked at his gloves like an excuse. B Mac: you can keep looking Hafeez but that was a terrible shot. Putting the senior in his place.
Don't hate on Hafeez. He's been pretty good for us this tournament and won us the crucial England game. His overs come in handy as well and he's one of the players that the others look to when needing advice in the field. Initially when we had opted for experience in the middle over, Hafeez is the one we needed, not both him & Malik. Now that we have that right - let's back him guys!
I personally think that if we make the semis, Hafeez will have one (hopefully two) more last laugh(s)!
Do you post anything ever sensible or anything resembling common sense?
I'm calling out posters who are saying Hafeez should be dropped. You think we have a better replacement for Hafeez's experience in the field and the ball? How about with the bat where he won us the crucial encounter against England? Not sure what other threads you're stalking me in but if you want to make a point in this thread, make one instead of attacking other posters without context.
Out of 7 games Hafeez has only made scores in 2, according to you that's good enough.
Binning him after the WC would be the best thing along with getting rid of Akmal.
He juts had to milk the spinners for singles instead of going for his wild slog. Its like he can't resist trying to go after the part timer.
I'm not arguing that he should stay with the team after the WC. In fact, I'm not even arguing against people who say he shouldn't have even been part of the squad. All I'm saying is that he needs to play in the team right now because he's done enough to deserve his spot during this tournament. One of his scores was the primary reason we won that match (vs England) and we wouldn't have gotten a good target had he done anything less than what he did. I think Hafeez can give similar performances, especially if Pakistan bat first on a flat wicket.
Hawkeye What's gone wrong...

Just a few bad days at the office.
BD, semi, and final left. Might win us at least one more match.![]()
