I think Afghanistan have the edge here. They have picked up wickets consistently and the rising required rate will definitely encourage the Irish players to take a few risks.

Not good for the Irish. I believed, they had the best chance to win 250 per sort of matches - still looks like failing in that. They can't match Afghan's blasting power in a high scoring match, neither penetrative bowling in a low scoring match.

Afghanistan pretty much threw their wickets. Looked like they do easily cross 300 at one stage.

Weird tactics from Ireland having Stirling down the order. Also they have injuries of some players.

We have a good team with good mix of batsmen, bowlers and all rounders. In sha Allah we can win this.

Rashid Khan has been very impressive today! Very economical and picked up some important wickets too!
Afghanistan could have easily scored 280+ and they would have if they wouldn't have thrown away their wickets the way they did.

Afghanistan win by 39 runs in the end. Looked like a close match all the way to the end.

Next game Afghanistan should drop Shapoor and Play Hamid Hassan.

Or even play an extra batsman. They have 3-4 part timers that can share 10 overs.

Afghans fought well and fought hard, i have great hopes for them.

Ireland seemed to be playing without a few key players. I hope they keep improving and compete, Afghans too, with the likes of Bangladesh, WI, Pakistan by the time I have kids.

Ireland were really only missing Rankin, AFG were missing Hamid plus playing in alien conditions. AFG are the superior side now, the best of the Associates at LOIs at least.

Ireland probably still have the edge in first class cricket.
