WI stepping up to the plate. I wonder if Australia, SA, England would do that.

Rashid Khan will enjoy those WI pitches. He will be Afghanistan's trump card as WI struggle against leg spin - look how badly they've played Shadab Khan.

Not sure how much I'll catch of it due to the Champions Trophy running concurrently.

I wish Afghanistan the best of luck. They beat a strong WI T20 team at the World Cup that they went on to win so mustn't be underestimated.

Great news for cricket in Afghanistan. It's really heartening to see how their team has progressed in the last 5-10 years.

Rashid Khan will run through West Indies, still as it is in Caribbean matches would be competitive.

What a great news for our afg brothers. Wish it would be triangular series of wi,Pak and afg.

My bets are that Afghanistan will win both series. They've got some blistering batsmen and good bowling too.

don't think Afghanistan will win any of the 2 series, they'll win 1 match in both series but not more than that. WI is really not clicking right now but they can win against Afghanistan, people are overrating Afganistan abit, they just lost 2 ODIs against Ireland, and won only 3-2. They are overly reliant on their spinners and batting is weaker than everyone thinks.

They were bowled out by Japan!! If you look at the scorecard there are many familiar names.

Yeah but Japan couldn't bat at all! A third of their total was extras!

From bowling at Kobayashi and Irie to bowling at Samuels and Simmons. That tells you how far Afghanistan has come.

WI are not as poor as people make them sound. They can easily win both series 3-0, 3-0.

The most encouraging thing about Afghanistan is the kind of talent that is coming through. Most people believed that once their players from the team that played Japan etc in division 5 retired they would struggle to find replacements, but in most cases they have been able to find even better players.

Exactly. Inspirational stuff. What's also good to see is that its the same players who have improved and have been there to nurture talent coming through, talent like Rashid Khan.

Exactly. Afghanistan has a lot of talent and for all necessities of the sport. Sensible players in guys like Stankizai and Nabi and explosive guys like Shahzad. I have a feeling we might see a 150 KPH, express fast bowler in the imminent future (secretly I hope Pakistan can rope him in).

Afghanistan Tour of the West Indies 2017

West Indies won the 1st T20I.

Afghanistan tour of West Indies, 2nd T20I: West Indies v Afghanistan at Basseterre, Jun 3, 2017

Hoping for an improved performance from Afghanistan compared to last night, the rain has not affected the match and it will start on time.

I thought the Afghan keeper Shazad had lost a few pounds but it's a new guy with the gloves named Shafiqullah

Very likely they surely get 150 KPH express pacer very soon. It's there in their gene, just need to come out.

Just saw cricinfo. Afg lose by 29 runs (D/L) and lost the series with 1 T20i still to play.

Afghanistan tour of West Indies, 3rd T20I: West Indies v Afghanistan at Basseterre, Jun 5, 2017

Well after the pathetic display by Pakistan yesterday and the rained off Aus/Bang match, we have a good clear forecast for the next few hours in Basseterre, West Indies.

Let's all enjoy this...Jerome Taylor has the new ball and here we go.
