damn this bowler is fast. they had some bad feilding other wise SA should ha 80 runs or less.

I jsut dont like the fact how we cheer for Afghanistan like they are our brothers, when Afghanistan as a country has always hated Pakistan
 
So we'll have the cream go through to the super 8s. Will be a very close contest here on in.

Afghanistan can go home proud though, they're pretty amazing for a team that's had no superior international exposure. Shockingly good in fact.
 
i woundring how many fast bowlers never made to first class than to Pak team ? Look at these players spes. Hassan who grow up in camps and look how good they are. REALY IMPRESSED.

The way SA started their innings, Afghanistan would have taken 150. Good effort from Afghanistan, although they will need to play really well and get a little bit lucky to win from here.
 
Bowling looks their stronger suit. Batters can't play anything short - expect a bombardment come 2nd innings.

Nice grab by the skipper. Around 140 would be a great achievment by any team not just Afghanistan.
 
I wonder how much work the Afghani batsman have done with the short-balls. That will certainly be a test with Steyn and Morkel.
 
Brilliant bowling effort by the Afghans, 140 is very, very chaseable.

Leave short balls and wait for rights balls. first 6overs will be important :)
 
Let's hope they got some lessons on how to play short balls and their batting doesn't collapse like last time.
 
afghanistan can play and play no-fear cricket, they dont have to worry about run-rate, etc. just get to 140 somehow. even if last 2 overs 20 runs needed, its possible. so InshAllah, they'll win. If only Bengali bhai had beaten aus in 14 overs, we could possibly have had all subcontinent in the super 8!!!!! maybe in wc 2001.
 
hamid hassan alakha dare kha bowling...the man is sum bowler...strikes you as amazing how some of these guy dont make the pak team...

The game is still on. The short ball will be a problem but Afghans have a chance to pull of the greatest upset in T20 cricket.

Only an Afghanistan affiliate team could take down a cricketing superpower like SA.

First 5 overs will show us how little or nothing the chance is.

What do you mean by *even afghan bhari*. Their fielding is more better than ours. I wonder how many of those catches would have been dropped if Pakistan was fielding.
 
we know Afghanies and patans they have no FEARS. This team will do will in future.

there majority pakistani...there always tends to be reasons for hate on another note...hope some of these players make it big

he is as many other Pakistani players.... same over all in Pakistan not just in cricket
 
heres a thought......south african players such as pieterson and keisweter and co move to england and get residency etc and can then play for england.......how about enticing some of the afghan talent to go live in pakstan and bringing them in to play for pakistan???
 
Afghanistan deserve to get test status if they beat South Africa here. I just hate to think that after this tournament they'll be stuck playing associate nations again.

Well I was referring to today. As in, it'll never happen today.
Indeed, I think Afghanistan have huge potential and will go far in the future. They look to be very enthusiastic about the game and with the right guidance they can become a force in world cricket.
 
Hamid Hassan was hitting consistently at 88mph when the speeds were showing and Bhogle also mentioned it to him in the interview! Quite impressive infact!

Afghanistan are an affiliate nation. Thats even lower than associate.

No affiliate nation has ever beaten a top ranked team in the history of the sport, in any world cup or any format.

This is size of the upset that could happen.

Afghanistan as a country is the graveyard of empires and their cricket team are showing the same mentality.
 
They didn't even bother to make a montage of Afghanistan vs New Zealand but just decided to South Africa vs New Zealand one. :)))

Noor Ali made a nice fifty in the first game.

The first recorded circket match in Afghanistan was between British soliders over 100 years ago. Ironic hey.
