Siraj is much more a test bowler than he is an LOI one.

He doesn't have slower variations. But he bowls a test length and is very good with the old ball. Reverse swing is one of his strengths, something he misses in LOIs.

From what I have heard, Ashwin has still not recovered from his injury so spinners will be Jadeja, Kuldeep and a third spinner between Chahal, Jayant Yadav and Nadeem.

As far as pacers is concerned I would be surprised if Bumrah plays given he played 3 tests and the Asia Cup back to back. Even Ishant might be given a break. He bowled the maximum number of overs among all Indians in the test series. So I'm hoping that there will be a place in the squad to accommodate Siraj.

Rayadu can score a 50 at best. Same with Pandey. MSD will rotate the strike and will leave it to others to do the big scoring.

The likes of Rayadu, Pandey and DK simply cannot score against good bowling attacks. They are limited. I would add even Shreyas Iyer to that list. They can score some on a good day. But they will flop for the most part. That x factor is missing from all these players.

Only the likes of KL, Shaw have it in them. They are class as well as score all around the wicket.
