Still, a good showing by Canada in both their games so far. Maybe next time the organisation, marketing, etc. will be done further in advance, and they'll hold it at a more suitable time of year. The crowd didn't look that great on the face of it, but having watched ICC Champions Trophy matches in England at this time of year, it compared quite favourably with some of those!

I'm not normally a fan of Twenty20, but as a tool for raising the profile of cricket in a country like Canada, it definitely gets the thumbs-up from me. This was a genuinely exciting game, spoilt only by the stupid bowl-out at the end. What the hell is all that about? If you must have a result, (and as far as I'm concerned a tie is a result), then why not decide it on the number of wickets lost, or bowl an extra over per side?

Al Bakra ceo said that they are sponsoring this for next 4 years and will hope they can get some more teams. They are financing/sponsoring but Canadaian cricket will have to make arrangements (teams etc)
