Sensational comeback. We were dead and buried tbh until Fawad turned it totally around. Credit to Malik for holding the innings together in the middle
 
apologies if i ma emotional but that is what you get when you have gutless leader as malik, he did great today BUT if it was not for alam who he wanst to keep out along with sohail we will do better, he is so gutless, let teh kid play, he just score big in 4 day test too

Malik did look like dhoni today, very calm and cool.

Awesome victory, but credit can't be taken away from alam. He gave life to the team.
 
Alam just saved malik's skin. Now let's hear the darpok chooha's excusefor bringing alam down the order. It has alsways been because Tanvir, Kamran are more likely to pull off the biggest shots than alam - well now Fawad has proved he can hit as well as any of them...

Malik is one lucky idiot

Behave... They won the match, they both played good, stop looking for ways to critisize the Captain
 
Is it just me or really this "LakarHara" is on everyone's TV for last 2-3 minutes.
 
Its always nice to see the smile on Waqars face after PAK won a game, and disappointment when they badly lost!
 
Malik answers his critics in winning style albeit its a t20 game he showed alot of fight and character in closing the game.

Malik as a player is not a problem boss, he is a problem as captain, and he screwed badly as captain again, had it not been for poor planning, Pakistan would have won comfortably
 
I am talking about this Telenor annoying add in which some chicks are looking for the "Signal" in "Lakarhara's country. BTW I am watching stream over the internet from ARY.

with friends like these...Alam played a blistering cameo at the right time but Malik's knock was also crucial

Indeed, there was no reason to send a BOWLER (= Tanvir) up to the crease before a BATSMEN (=Alam), no matter how bad u think the batsman is...

lol...purists wannabe won't admit that T20 too is good for cricket.

Alam's sixes were reminiscent of Tanno's vs India in WC final. He heaved anything that was on middle-leg line.

even without Malik contribution, Pakistan would have lost. He has shown the patient, temperament, and sensible inning at the right time.

I say Pakistan has won is thank to Malik and Alam. It's understandable that people are blaming on Malik in spite of his mature inning even though Afridi who was dismissed on his second ball, is roaming freely, and not being criticized for his batting. Brilliant

i know he played well but he have some serious issues with his captaincy
i m not a big fan of afridi
he may lose his position to the combination of malik and fawad

I'm not a Twenty20 fan, but I certainly don't have a problem with tournaments like this one. A big boost for cricket in Canada.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the crowds given the time of year, and I'm sure they'll get full houses if they can pull off something like this in the cricket season! Even days beforehand, few people seemed to believe this tournament was really going to go ahead, and people will certainly be more confident about travelling next time.

I think Canadian board and us cricket fans got very very lucky to have a pleasant weather for a effing change. A week ago the temperature dropped to almost 0 and unpredicted showers were always on the cards. But since Friday (y'day) the weather has been as good as the weather that you experience in summer (of course in other countries.... Canadian summer of 07 was equal to India's winter) :))

Having said that Canadian board and the tournament organizers have done an EXCELLENT job in holding this event that too on a ground which was good for only CLUB matches. Al-barakah the official sponsor of this event had announced that they will sponsor more tourney's in canada.

Man of the series in this tournament will be awarded a suite in Newly built skyline in UAE from Al-barakah (real estates)

Afridi needs to be hit with a bit :akhtar

Brilliant stuff from Malik. Good captaincy [except the Gul mistake, but these things happen]. I think it was a good ploy sending Alam at 9.
 
great match, Afridi needs to open Shoaib Khan to be dropped for Anwar Ali and thats it

well done to Gul, Malik and Alam, a great TEAM effort
 
dont understand people want malik to act like a captain and hes started to show improvement he's leading from the front and played a patient innings today when things were looking wobbly for pakistan and his partnership with fawad at the end was really good he was trying to take singles and was trying to give strike to fawad for a few a balls to launch a few and its exactly what happened

end of the day captaincy issues with people aint gna change, i for one want to see what afridi can do at international level being a captain so malik can go back to his no.3 position which is highly unlikely coz younis khan is on that position and carry on his form with the bat and start bowling more when needed and see if afridi can give us the results that these afridi fans want, im sure after both being tried as captains afridi aint gona change the team into winners when the team itself cant adapt to the changes of their cricket structure time n time again people think a captain right now is going to bring miracles, somethings will never change

So I expect YK, Malik, Butt (atleast 2 of these) and Akhtar, Gul, Tanvir resting tomorrow.

I hope Sohail Khan, Anwar Ali and Rauf are the fast bowlers. Fawad Alam bats at #4-5. Khalid Latif and Shoaib Khan opening may work and may not so it can be dangerous. Is there any other batsman in squad who hasn't played yet? If none then I will go with the two new openers, keep YK and Misbah. I don't think squad has another batsman so Malik or Butt will have to play.

Unbelievable ending! CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED IT!

I saw everything up until Fawad's 6 in the 18th over.

I missed the last two, but I heard it was pure brilliance.

Anyone who said Malik was terrible, is a nincompoop. He guided this whole thing.

And on top of everything, Fawad and Malik were able to share a game-winning partnership. Fawad Alam was absolutely brilliant, and hopefully Malik can see his worth now.
 
I was at the game and last 5 overs played by Alam and Malik were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! The crowd went completely wild with those huge launchers by Alam. I hope we will get to see the same exciting game on Monday.
 
And the most funny thing was when Afirdi got out a lot of Pakistani supporters started leaving b/c of the vociferous Sri Lankan fans and chances of winning the game seemed almost impossible. I was really shocked as I knew Alam, Tanvir, and Gul, all who can hit big were still to come. Those poor fans missed the penultimate moment of the game.

Hah , I guess we'll never know if it was a ploy or not. The end result is that we won, and with one ball to spare!
 
i was also at the game.....was awsome...infact i just reached back home in michigan....btw the parking traffic sucked big big time....took forever after the game
 
Why are so many people dissing shoaib
he hit 21 run of 14 balls in the last four overs
in the end he face 15 of of the 23 balls bowled and scored
25 runs Fernando bowled a good 19th over or we would have won more easily
wheres as Alam scored 23 of 8 balls
this is how 2020 cricket is played where
scoring 10-15 of the last over is common to win
Malik set up the match very well for the last two overs and Alam delivered
Malik included Alam in the team as he felt he needed someone down the order
Malik set up the match the same way for Sialkot
He has started doing that a lot after Afridi lost us the SA series as he feels he has to stay till the end to finsh the game as no one else is a good finisher even Misbah gets us to the brink but falters at the end
