I’ve seen this guy bowl a few times in the domestic T20 cup and also the PSL (can’t remember who). He is different compared to a lot of the spinners in Pakistan

Very quick arm action (a bit like Rashid Khan) and bowls quick, flat leggies into the deck. A very difficult type of trajectory to hit away at this level.

I would keep a close eye on him, he looks like someone that you can bank on for 4 overs

@Rana good spot.

He ended up with impressive match figures of 2/29 against Karachi Kings in the PSL X encounter in NSK, while representing Quetta Gladiators.

Na pretty mediocre. His wickets are less than the number of games played.

He is 32, so not much future. Good for domestic cricket i would say.

He’s mediocre now because Rana spotted him.
nah he is mediocre because he bowls mediocre. half the balls were half trackers. any good batsman will be depositing them over the mid wicket. even the second wicket he got it was a half tracker. First wicket was a bit decent.. he won't amount to anything over a longer period.

na, its not that. I dont indulge in such petty things.

I have watched a few games of his in PSL. But he is not on the right side of the age bracket. Good for him that he got to play PSL. But Pakistan for him is a long shot.

So who’s a good T20 spinner in Pakistan?

There isnt anyone currently that can be labelled as good.

However, there are decent prospects that can develop into good bowlers like Muqeem, and Abrar. Abrar's spell against India was an eye opener as India plays spin well and even Kohli praised his bowling.

But they still need to develop and they have the age with them

no, i don't know. i don't want Pak domestic cricket and i just watch overs of PSL here and there. So i have no idea. But Ali Majid ain't it. He has poor control over his delivers. Have you see his body position when he is delivering the ball? with that kind of shoulder position how do you expect him to be consistent in landing his deliveries? Most leg spinners, or any spinner for that matter, fix these issues by mid 20s to late 20s. That is the reason you hear people saying leg spinners mature slowly. He is way past fixing his issues. He is not going to improve much. That doesn't mean he won't few good matches here and there. but he will not amount to anything big.

Abrar looks a decent player. I saw him here in MLC but he hardly got any games. But don't judge him by the way Indians play spin. Most modern Indian batsman play spin poorly

He is not a bad player by any means but he doesn't look too outstanding either. It's nice to see him play the PSL. It shows that the system sort of works and the door is never closed for players.

One thing I enjoy about these leagues is it gives unknown players the platform to potentially kick on and earn some money.

Best of luck to him.

Sufiyan is a proper talent. Abrar isn't bad either. But abrar is juat okay. Not a bad option to have him in the team
