Reminds me of Tanveer Ahmad who got tickets to a match while sitting home, mailed to him by PCB and he ripped those tickets on tv. His reasoning was that he was a TEST player thus, PCB should provide him with VIP tickets..

Meanwhile, Starc stood in line to buy his own ticket

1. Have you seen what happens to Pakistani players (old or new) when they are seen in public?
2. Does this picture show thousands trying to mob Starc?

By the way, this is a silly thing to do for Starc - he is member of the Aussie squad and there could be some drunk etc who could attack him like that.

It is a fair point in general, but I can assure you that no one would recognize Tanvir Ahmed if he were standing in a queue.

He has zero relevance and only very hardcore Pakistan cricket fans (the type you will find on PP) are aware of his existence.

The real issue is that Tanvir Ahmed has a very inflated opinion about himself. In his mind, he is one of the most highly respected figures in Pakistan cricket and should be treated as such.

Overall, I completely agree that it is impossible for cricketers in the subcontinent to live a normal, every day life.

i get your point, but the thing is, cricketers and every sports man in Pakistan develops this ego that they are a big shot in the country. Its not just cricketers but every person who starts to earn big bucks. THey wont even buy the tickets themselves and send someone else as they would feel disrespected standing in line.

This is why I love the culture of West that people criticize.

This is a picture of him queuing to enter the ground, not to buy a ticket. It's also the entrance right by all the hospitality boxes that I doubt is a coincidence.
