Hi Everyone,

Haven’t posted in Time Pass for a while but thought I would change the trend today.

Quick is posted in the Title but I’m interested in knowing what you guys did about? As in what actions did you take? Or even could not take?

To start off with - one thing I regret is not relocating during COVID when I had the opportunity to do so.. Particularly somewhere warmer where cost of living would have been lower back in 2020-2021

One of my biggest regrets is not being religious enough in my early-20's. Missed opportunities. Anyway, started to be religious from year 2015 (alhamdulillah).

Another regret would be I didn't manage my money well in my 20's. Had a lot of debts. Managed to be debt-free in year 2022. Alhamdulillah.

If you don’t mind me asking… what did you do to become debt free?

Regrets are part of life, one needs to move on , surely there must be something better at later stage.

From financial aspect should have bought a new car pre Covid as prices ballooned up post Covid manifolds

So did you eventually end up getting a car? Or put it on hold?

I had like $80K in debt. Big debt. Student loan, car loan, credit card loan etc.

I became debt-free by working and living like a hermit. LOL. I was spending absolute minimal for 4-5 years. It paid off.

I am finally debt-free now. I want to keep it that way. Alhamdulillah.

Not expressing my feelings in time to the love of my life. I was too late and by the time i graduated to Upper Kindergarten her parents shifted to another city taking her along with them. Cruel life. That’s when i realized that destiny always conspires against true love

Good for you - glad it worked out!

Just curious but how old were you?

Was going to start a bitcoin mining rig when it was at $3!!! Didn't happen due to various factors. Heck should've just bought it back then

I had like 0.40 BTC in 2013. At that time, 1 BTC was around $1000 (it is now worth $140,000+).

Had I hold on to it instead of selling it, I could've made some money.

Another regret for me. :inti

I never thought about Crypto and never took it seriously until I saw bitcoin reaching 94000$ +.... LOL Regrets

So did that experience encourage you to take more risks in the future?

It was for the best. Who knows what you may have done with these funds? You may have started a Misbah fan club :P

On a serious note, do you have a gaming rig?

following pakistan cricket, in hindsight probably one of the biggest wastes of time, apart form sparing moments of joy its just mostly been non stop pain. what makes it worse is knowing those in charge, in the system, etc, dont even care about it as much as some fans.

on a serious note, regret is a tough one, ive made a lot of mistakes, but my life isnt bad, so who knows if not having made a mistake would lead me not learning the lessons that brought me to where i am today. theres an old saying, how do you make good decisions, with experience, how do you get experience, with bad decisions.

if i could change one thing i would have taken health and fitness a lot more serious at a younger age, im strong but overweight, and ive never been athletic, so getting into the groove be healthier is much harder the older you get. also when work gets busy, and life demanding, making the effort to become healthier is exponentially more time consuming than maintaining good health.

LOL we don't need funds for that :P the club is very much active on PP.

I'm not a PC gamer, not since AOE and Starcraft. I do have a PS5 though but no time to play

Honestly, the risk factors weren't much back then. The plan failed because I was dependent on someone else for the technical knowledge. And at that point in time I didn't think much of crypto so I didn't actively pursue it as I should have. That's the real regret for me that I could've made a better decision.

Overall though l'm a risk taker (financially speaking). Quit my job a couple of years ago to pursue a business and Alhamdulillah going good so far.

Well wish you all the best

I see where you are coming from…

Same for me as well wish I’d taken health and fitness more seriously when I was in my twenties

Seems like 20's is the most common period for making mistakes.

Mistakes from 20's can make you wiser in 30's and beyond.

Spending an hour at the gym at least 3 to 4 times a week and maintaining a calorie deficit can bring incredible results in just three months.

Small changes, like reducing two cups of tea to one, can make a real impact. It’s just an example, aside from three well balanced meals a day, most extras aren’t necessary.

The key is consistency and taking small, sustainable steps.

I’ve seen people in their 40s in better shape than they were in their 20s.

Your future self in your 60s will thank you for the choices you make today, unless, of course, you’d rather carry the same regrets later on. 🙂

Always postponed the calls to my friends and relatives to the maximum.lost a best friend and worst part is that i never spoke to him in past 1 year. I have practically lived with guy for 30 years

i generally try to go three times a week, and lift heavy, like heavy enough that i feel its taxing. i try to eat healthyish, i try to sleep well too. i try to get like an hour of zone 4 cardio in over short bursts over the week. im definitely healthier now than i was in my twenties but its just difficult with work and life commitments. especially at the start of the year.

biggest detriment to my health was my local gym closing, i have to get my three days in after work, if i knew someone who could run a gym id finance a new one in my area, lol, just so i could have a gym again, lol.

Sorry to hear that but how did that experience change you then?

Stopped taking everything or anything for granted. Afterwards I have to be thankful for whatever i have each day and bit more humble.
I kept my wife in loop for whatever I have to deal with financial dealings .she won't bother me much in those dealings but I made sure her presence as silent observer.
