Have you ever given a thought to the idea that The Matrix does indeed exist and controls your thoughts, actions & life in general?

This is obviously in reference to the movie The Matrix and those that haven’t watched it might want to research a bit on that to comprehend this subject better.

While there are crazy theories that argue that we actually might be living in a simulation in some higher life form’s world, that we actually might be hard wired to the system while being used to harvest energy at the same time just as shown in the movie but i tend to see it in a metaphorical way.

The enemy is not the AI driven machines but the system& the culture
we have created.

The simulation is nothing but the sad monotonous life for the majority of us.

That we are not hard wired to the system yet the system keeps us hooked on to itself willingly and unwillingly taking our independence away from us in the actual sense and yet giving us the delusion that we are free and there is free will.

What truly makes you yourself, have you given it a thought? Half of your personality literally comes from your upbringing, where you came from etc and the other half is pretty much how the system manipulates you through algorithms and propaganda.

They have taken away all your essential surviving skills. Today you depend on the system for survival. Go rogue and they will find a way to cancel you, banish you from using their services that they made you addicted for.

You think you have free will, that you matter so much. But the truth is that you’ve never been so vulnerable as a human.

Frankly I don't mind staying plugged into the Matrix, the simulated world is pretty awesome for me personally. Ignorance is bliss. But come to think of it I wouldn't mind the lovely Trinity coming to save me either. Win win.

Sounds like you’ve been binge watching The Simpsons .

The only arguable version of a simulation is being controlled & used in some form of slavery , modern day slavery . Ie you are born , pay taxes , work , pay bills & die while making others richer & powerful. This is a real simulation for many who can’t escape .

As for everything is a simulation , an AI or some alien playing a game , it’s hard to justify by any science. Pain is usually a good sign of you bring very much real , ask those who from a Mike Tyson uppercut

Not as straightforward about the pain part. Pain can be simulated at the brain level too as many studies have shown. Here is also a video of a famous experiment about simulating pain with a fake hand.

this is pbly gonna be a wierd and complex answer, but i think.... and maybe im revealing more than i should about myself here, but if you've dabbled in psychedelics, you become very aware of how thin the nature of perceived reality is. im not talking about culture, and customs, and norms, but im talking about things like time, space, emotions, communication, etc.

so in that sense i do believe reality is in a sense a synthetic layer on top of a deeper fundamental reality. now some people i guess interpret this as religiously, whereas i was drawn more to interpreting this on a meta conscious level.

once you delve into that realm you kinda get the sense that a lot of people operate on plug and play mode, which is not bad, cos not everyone necessarily desires existential shocks, but if you want there are levels of depth you can sink into if you want, which on some levels take you further from this reality, but maybe hint at something more fundamental behind it.

apologies for the rambling. :D

One night with nature medicine changed my perception of reality. Used to be an staunch atheist.. not anymore. Piercing matrix and seeing beyond, your mind gets altered for ever.

What do you believe in now?

Its kind of a spiritual awakening. I got literally seperated from my physical body. I saw my pity mind trapped in all kind beliefs and conditioning. I got this distinct feeling where I was different from my body and mind. That's what I believe now.. not sure if that makes any sense.

like you are simultaneously miles outside of yourself whilst exploring some infinitesimal recess of your brain.
