السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
(May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you)

Eid Mubarak, firstly.

Ramadan came and went and In Sha Allah all of us have upped our game spiritually regarding the hereafter, picked up new good habits, strengthened them or let go of bad ones.

Whatever the case may be what is one good habit that you have picked up and will do your best to carry over to at least Ramadan 2026?

This thread is to track your streak, if you fumble and missed a day, what got in the way and how you’ll pick it up the following day. Or if you went weeks, months etc incorporating this new habit then please share as well to inspire your brothers.

There’s a lot of chaos going around in the world atm to our Muslim brothers and sisters. We have to look within ourselves first and strengthen our relationship with Allah while at the same time doing what we can for our brothers in need as well. So don’t take this lightly. Everything is interrelated and interconnected when it comes to Islam.

We’ll consider fitness a part of this too with the intention of taking care and maintenance of the gift of the body that Allah has gifted us. So if that is what you want to focus on you can post in here too.

For me it will be reading Quran everyday even if just 2-3 ayat. Starting off small so it will be easier to stay consistent. In Sha Allah.
Yes for me it's the same. I downloaded an app that makes it easy to track. 5-6 ayat a day with translation is a good habit to get into.

This Ramadan, I have learned many things about itikaf.

I learned that itikaf can be done all year long (nafl itikafs) and there is no time limit for this. You can even do itikaf for one hour.

I would love to try this once in a while. It is a nice detox from the toxic worldly life.

Forgot to reply to your salam.

Walaikumus salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Exact translation: "Allah and His angels bless the Prophet. Believers, invoke blessings and peace on him."

It doesn't say repeat verbally. Nor any specific text in arabic.

Who made up all these arabic texts for pakistanis to repeat? And not act on.
So your issue is not the blessings upon the Prophet but that they are repeated in arabic?

No problem brother for your sake we will say some in English and urdu too.

Don’t worry about him, he says fasting is not in the Quran, to not do dhikr

That right there kills any need to proceed any further. Needs to pick up a copy of the Quran with Tafsir or a Sahih Hadith before engaging in discussions online regarding Islam first.

Will love to be even half virtuous as I used to be in Ramadhan the whole year
100% already missing Ramadan, but least we can do is honor the blessing that it was by doing our best to continue those deeds. Think of how far we can go multiple Ramadans from now, may we be here to see many more Ameen.

How are you all doing so far?

fell a bit behind regarding Zikr but thanks to Farhan’s weird post earlier today I was reminded after Isha to continue Astaghfar and the other adhkar listed above.

These first few weeks post Ramadan will be critical to hammer these habits down.

Alhumdulilah it seems like Farhan bhai is inspiring many Muslims with his posts.

It has been a bit sloppy for me. Need to get back to focus.

I started a personal project called "Project Good Life" after the conclusion of Ramadan. Objective is to track my progresses in different areas.

Here are some habbits I want to instill/continue to do:

- 5 daily prayers (I do this regularly anyway).
- Reciting 5 small surahs daily minimum (shouldn't take more than 4-5 minutes).
- Doing dhikr for 5 minutes daily minimum.
- Not spending unnecessarily. Following a budget.
- Managing time better and getting meaningful things done.
- Listening to 3 Islamic lectures every week.
- Learning new and useful things regularly.
- Doing exercise 5 days a week.
- Doing intermittent fasting for 16 hours daily at least (while doing occasional Islamic fasts).

Let's see how it goes. :inti

Don’t worry I’ve fallen a bit as well. Need to be more consistent regarding prayer times.

Lol yeah clear from your faulty understandings of plethora subjects on Islam.

Understanding "a bit" of your religion actually makes you the imposter.

I clocked in 11 years of madrassah education.

Safe to say you -- and your neighborhood mullah -- can't fool me with arabic anecdotes. I am well aware of the inherent fallacies of islam.

If you understood Islam correctly, you wouldn't have been anti-Islam. :inti

Only those who don't understand Islam end up being apostates.

Anyway, Islam continues to grow despite the Islamophobes. Fastest growing religion in the world.

Reminds me of this Quranic verse:

"They want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it." (Surah As-saf: verse 8)

Bhai, why are you so eager to discredit Islam, look down on Muslims with contempt, and get triggered whenever someone practices their faith?

Can’t you follow your own beliefs, I'm assuming atheism, without putting others down in the process?

If you’re not a Muslim, why are you even on a thread that isn’t criticizing Islam or any other religion?

Who hurt you so badly that you're still carrying those scars and projecting that pain onto others?

Atleast we can understand the Arabic a bit instead of being an imposter.
Brother if you can please move any posts questioning Islam and Islamic law to another thread. I’m tired of these morons trying to overtake any and all threads related to Islam to make it about their insecurities regarding Islam and lack of intelligence regarding Quran and Hadith.

There’s already plenty of threads that are for debates of ppl like that questioning Islam.

Thread is about accountability regarding maintaining habits of a Muslim post Ramadan.

@Farhan The Man Not every thread is for you to cry about why you don’t follow Islam. No one has you at gunpoint, go cry somewhere else. Stop causing arguments everywhere about the same topic.

Great thread and much needed post Ramadan as I have a few goals to.

A year long commitment is very challenging so my plan is do have a personal review every few months and adjust as needed, the two things I’d really like to do are as follows:

- Fasting on Monday & Thursday like our prophet pbuh; not only is this good for the health, but I just think it can help maintain some of the Ramadan spirit when it comes to self control & spirituality and narrows your focus. I plan to cut my weight to before summer so this will also support that & I wont be eating much (it just gets in the way of so much productivity).

- Praying Fajr in the mosque; I want to try and do this a few times a month to begin with, it’s so beautiful and one of the most rewarding activities I’ve ever experienced during the month of Ramadan and can’t recommend it enough, I feel everything is in our way when it comes to life in general when all I could be doing is just praying in the mosque and bowing before my Lord.

I have more respect for Hindus and Christians than a filthy hypocrite or apostate or whatever who has a Muslim name, pretends to be Muslim and then denounces fasting and worship using his perverted misuse of the verses in the Quran and Hadith with zero basis, no evidence of tafsir by the Prophet PBUH or the companions RA.

If you’re a non Muslim, just say that and come out of the woodwork. Plenty of non Muslims on the forum who may disagree with Islam but at least don’t try to twist words in the Quran and Hadith and imagine things in there that don’t exist. At least they will be upfront about their beliefs.

So just stop pretending, and if being an apostate in Pakistan is so difficult for you, go elsewhere.

today at the khutbah they were talking about the Monday and Thursday Sunnah fasts and esp rn being able to space them apart for the rest of Shawwal and getting the reward for the 6 fasts in addition to Ramadan to equal fasting a year.

In Sha Allah I’m going to start on Monday, do it as well if you can (and so also because I don’t back out if I get lazy come Sunday night when I know I’ve already verbalized it lol)

Fajr in the morning at the mosque is a solid goal as well. In Sha Allah we all achieve that. I keep making excuses that I’m not a morning person, this that and the other thing, but the rest of the day will be built on such a massive step so I need to start.

Self-control, in general. whether its fasting, avoiding nasty stuff, etc.

It really makes you a better person.

First week is almost done (post-Ramadan). Week 1 was average for me. Hoping to be better in 2nd week. :inti

I am using an Excel tracker since April 1:

Easy with the insults. You sound traumatized.

Go ahead. Fast.

We can all pretend god made it mandatory. For you.

The irony of you claiming anyone else is traumatized is hilarious.

You rear your head in every thread Islam is mentioned even more than folks who have never been Muslim.

You’ve left Islam supposedly but it still looms over you to the point that you can’t go 5 seconds without dispelling fasting, adhkar or any other Islamic practice or you’ll pass out. Wouldn’t you think leaving Islam would get you to talk about it less, not more?

Once again, it’s unfortunate that you got beaten in public for drinking water during Ramadan, and I hope that trauma doesn’t shape your future ♥️

Ironic. I've been told by a reliable source that you have been banned on multiple occasions and have made new accounts because you have a problem with mods, who are Muslims. So to get one over them, you are constantly maligning Islam.

The tolerance the mods are showing is just a fine example of their subr because they know how to apply the principle of Islam in their daily lives.

I think he pretends to be an ex-Muslim because shortly after he made his new account (as he's banned on numerous occasions), he was citing Shia sources as a mainstream Islamic perspective. This is how I know he doesn't have a clue about Islam.

Praying Isha and Fajr in congregation is very rewarding. Something we should try to do as much as we can.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever attends Isha (prayer) in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) stood half of the night. And whoever prays Isha and Fajr in congregation, then he has (the reward as if he had) spend the entire night standing (in prayer)." (reference: Tirmidhi 221)

Lmao… I feel sorry for him. And he says he was in madrasa for 11 years but doesn’t know difference between Shia and non Shia sources 😂

Yes, this was in my mind earlier. Not this exact Hadith but the fadail of Fajr and Isha prayer in general. Thanks for sharing.

Mentally Isha congregation is easier to get to, will try to hit Fajr congregation at least once a week and build up In Sha Allah.

Both streams are equally abhorrent.

shias specially with their self-flagellation ways.

Nevertheless, let's hear your "godly" text for mandatory fast. Alternatively, punishment for non-fast. Surely it must exist somewhere. For you to follow blindly.

Subhan Allah. Allahu Akbar.

Thanks for sharing. Bookmarked it.

This type of video lifts up spirit.
Everyone feel free to post videos that help increase Iman as well. It all helps to stay consistent on the deen.

Post-Ramadan week #1 is done. Time for Week #2. :inti

May we maximize it and make it productive.

JazakAllahu khair.
Ameen bro, keep us posted.

I like the idea of the excel spreadsheet.

I’m a pen and paper kind of guy so In Sha Allah tonight I will draw up a table and post on the wall regarding what I want to maintain till next Ramadan and beyond.
