It means on any given day any team is beatable. For all the chest thumping out there by both sides saying the other will loose/win. It comes down to basic analysis. India carries with them aging players way past their prime in Dhoni and Yuvraj, a fluke in Dhawen, bowlers who will be negated by our players like Azhar and Babr who can play spin and pace without any problems. The only person who India relies on is Kohli hasn't really impressed me since ipl. The practice games don't count. Raina made a huge impact last time, while Jadhav is again hit/miss. Theres also the game of odds. Theres only so many times you can beat a team before that law of odds/averages catches up with you.

Pakistan on the other hand has suprise packages in the form of Shadab and Fukhar and Hasan ali. One of them s going to have a huge game. Theres also stability with Babar, Malik and Harris which has been absent until now. India going in is over confident and hugely underestimating the Pakistan attack. Aamir is due in for a big one and Mohammad while Imad Wasim's left-arm darts are hard to get away. I cant believe people are forgetting that Babar has scored five hundreds in his last 5 ODI innings.

I expect Pakistan to manhandle this Indian lineup based on the above analysis. Our bowling is more than capable of destroying any given batting order and by restricting Indians to low score, Indians will crack and melt under pressure. which will help the pakistani batsmen play their part and achieve their objective. Pakistan should let India play first...It comes to that..

Boys should listen to this before going out. India will take a knee soon after.

congratulations my fellow countrymen, we will win this match on 4th June. it's official. :yk

Some nice argument there and I do believe Pakistan has edge but only because of our fragile batting.

Hope, you don't go into hiding if, we, defeat Pakistan although it's extremely unlikely. :akhtar

Any given sunday and "analysis" dont fit in same paragraph.
Pakistan might beat India or they might lose: there's my analysis.

If your batting is fragile then our batting is already broken.

As for the OP - look anything can happen in a tournament and we did upset South Africa at the last WC when many predicted we'd lose. But that was one of the rare occasions in modern ODIs where we see a low total defended. Today's ODIs are won mainly through batting firepower.

And the only batting firepower we had in this one-paced team is currently suspended. Our best bet is to chase as we're poor at setting challenging totals.

If India batting is fragile then don't think we can call ours even batting

Keep this pessimism far far away from PP on matchday. :akhtar

PP's Icon is back  shaz619

The mod team needs to give Snake Eyes a special user title, his threads are always legendary.

Yeah, "Junior Player" is hardly befitting such a magnificent individual.
