Can anyone stop South Africa at the 2026 T20 World Cup besides South Africa?

When you were brink of losing match a twice against Afghanistan that's say all

Now NZ has grovel them very hard , they will not forget this groveling. Ignorant fool

:klopp :kl
Change the dictionary you are reading because your sense of understanding cricket is under the dirt.... moveeee

Nz has jitters during their journey to semis... South Africa was a beast from start.... You think there is no difference???

Ignorent fool
South Africa is nowhere close to being as beastly as India was in 2023, where they crushed opponents 10 matches in a row. When Australia almost lost 3 matches and escaped by the barest of margins all the way to the final, there was so much Aussie suck-up since they beat India. Nobody talked about India being ultra-dominant for 10 matches. SA was hardly dominant here. They escaped from Afghanistan.

In T20, these things happen all the time. Anyone who followed even franchisee cricket would know. It is not necessary for one team beat another team all the time. On paper, they are close to each other. But in T20, on paper means nothing. Under the right circumstances, one-sided loss can happen to tournament favorites. I even mentioned before the last match that any team can absolutely wallop another when certain things go their way. England almost lost to Nepal. India was slipping up against the USA. Pakistan was one catch away from losing to the Netherlands. Even Italy fancied their chances against England. Afghanistan almost tripped up SA.

That's because no one really cares if you are dominant at home, especially with the amount of investment, time, energy and ultra seriousness India put into just to win the tournament.

A half serious Aussie team, that only got galvanized after Maxwell's ATG innings, came along and won the cup.

In 2015 Aussies did not lose 1 match at home and In 2019 England only lost 1 group match, despite these nations not giving much care about cricket.

True dominance is when a team dominates in hostile conditions.

Aussies are able to do that. SA do it but choke at the wrong moment. Windies has done it. Srilanka did it in '96.

Aussie won in England, South africa and westindies back to back.........

And that's why the Aussies were truly dominant.

If you want to be called the best team, you got to prove it by winning in negative environment and conditions including crowd that are against you.

Plus back then all teams were competitive and no t20s tamasha and flat decks with 50m boundaries

In 2019, England lost 2 group matches - vs Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Also, everyone knows how the final went. So, it is only Australia that have shown true dominance in winning ICC trophies everywhere. India is still 2nd and quite far from Australia.
