PP Cricket League is a simulation cricket game.

A widespread Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is what I fear in context of Covid-19 Pandemic. Recommended strategies suggest keeping yourself involved in other activities as well. I was thinking about a PP Cricket League.

It will need active participation of 50-60 members.

I am up for it, also if you can add some links of previous leagues you guys did here, that would be great.

Sounds interesting. I’m in.

Can anyone explain how does it work? I mean participating in the game.

It is very easy there will be a dedicated game section where you can sign up for the league once it is announced that it will take place.

You can signup for example

Name: Babu Bhaiya

Role: Right Hand Batsman/Bowler/AR whatever you like

Bowling: Off Spin/Fast/Medium Fast whatever you like

For matches there will be threads and someone from the admin will post the commentary after copying it from the simulator which he will run on his computer..!!

Thanks for explaining 👍🏻

So after signing up, nothing much to do on my part. Still the commentary thread sounds fun.

When you understand how this works you can always share your input to your team captain. Its more fun if you are active participant in planning and banter (within limits though).

Thanks for explaining 👍🏻

So after signing up, nothing much to do on my part. Still the commentary thread sounds fun.

Before the matches start, there is also a Draft where Captains/VC and co pick the players who sign in as Bowlers/Bat/WK/AR of all types. Depending upon type of the pitch for every match, team can decide which players get Platinum/Diamond/Gold categories.

But this is fun only if all players are actively involved in banter and inputs.

I’m in too. Left-hand swing/seam specialist. 6’5” with 142kph average speed. Absolutely horrible with the bat.

Lot of fun in these - so lets get more sign ups

I’m in.

Wicket-keeper batsman.

Lightning quick with the gloves, but an average middle-order batsman. :rizwan

Name: Shafkath

Role: Fiery fast bowler, 150kph, throw my toys out of the pram if I don't get the New ball. Can swing the willow if you annoy me enough. Don't ask me to do fielding drills in practice, not interested.

If anyone is interested in being organizer of PPCL. Please let us know. It would broadly involve planning (like how many matches and what type of matches should take place and much more) . Also includes posting Match commentaries. MenInG will guide us on detail role of being PPCL organizer.

Just to refresh . In past we use to broadly classify players by role they chose and give then skill points based on it.

For example a typical average rating would be

Role BatSkill(95) BowlSkill(95)

Bowler 30 75

Bowl AR 55 65

Pure AR 60 60

Bat AR 65 55

Batsman 75 0

WK 75 0

However captain use to assign extra points to some players.
This means a batsman/bowler could get even get to 95 rating giving that player higher chances to scoring runs/getting wickets.

imo, proper batsman and bowler should get 80-85 skill points

Can we have some other volunteers who can help with this?
