Then why are you getting so defensive? For the record, I'm merely interpreting what you said. Also, last I checked, this was a thread about the Indian cricket team so dragging Pakistan into it just sounds like an attempt to deflect...which is exactly what it is.

Whenever I get dissatisfied with Indian team, I console myself with glass half full, could be a lot worse if my team was West or East Pakistan :bhajji :viru

They didnt bring anything down. England will start bazzballing again eventually bit they'll be smarter. They'll create swinging and seam tracks knowing full well they got the likes of brook, Duckett, Root and Jamie smith.

England is easily the best players of pace in the world atm in test cricket despite possessing 2 medicore batters in their lineup

It is good that England realized the limitations of Bazball. Bazball cannot work in all situations. There are times when sensible batting are needed.

Indian fans are trying to make it sound like they defeated Bazball. In reality, England decided to bat practically. :inti

England need to mix bazball with sensible batting. That's the only recipe for a long-term Test success.

Getting pumped 4-1 in both Australia and England in a short period of time should end a lot of careers and certainly Gambhir’s disastrous stint as Test coach.

I think cricket would be richer if we have more competitive teams...the 90s srinlanka and Pakistan and West Indies would make cricket and these recent wins more satisfying...at least Afghanistan is improving compensating for Bangladesh perennial underperformance...

And Australia wasn't even 4-1. India managed to win and draw a test each which Pakistan haven't been able to in the last 30 years.
 
Don’t care for champions trophy one bit until Pakistan made it a big deal. Dint even care for t20 world cup

Test cricket winning an away series and being number 1 ranked in tests is the pinnacle for me

A draw away to a tough English team with a team in transition is good. Proud of this achievement and honestly should have won the series. This is a greater achievement than winning the champions trophy or even the t20 WC for me

If shami was fit and we made correct selections by sticking with Prasidh harshit and getting rid of roko we win that series with ease too. With ease.

ct is a crap tournament. paksitanis hype it cause that's the only odi trophy they have won in 30+ years. hyped it so much that they got insulted in 25.

If shami and bumrah were there , we should have won scg for sure. I dont see any good away tour apart from 2 match series in nz 26.we should have a real good team for next sena series

We can't win in South Africa in World Cup 2027. South Africa will win that tournament.

We can win T20 World Cup 2026 & WTC 2027 final(if Gambhir plays 4 proper bowlers) if we qualify for the final which now looks likely.

Our batsman struggle against swing & seam bowling. Hence they lost at Lord's & Sydney.

New Zealand have been dishing out green tracks to India since 2014 series.

We have beaten them in New Zealand in ODI & T20 series but have struggled in tests.

2 practice matches of 3 days before the two WTC test matches can help this young team & yes no IPL ftbs like Sudarshan.

Unlike last tours, we have a solid opening now.i hope sai or someone technically good batsmen will settle at 3 by that time.we should have jurel at 6.He has a genuine batsmen credentials and mentality. If pitch is green, then reddy at 8 otherwise washi at 8.i guess we have only Gill as weekpoint against seam.lets hope he improves by that time. Its tough tour but I hope we can atleast draw .kohli is the main cause for soft approach towards nz.he never engages with them much

Every good team has an end point. The people you are calling clowns never lost a home series for 12 years straight. Much like the earlier generation who lost only two test series(2000 vs SA & 2004 vs Aus) in India in nearly 26 years.

India shouldn't have given turning wickets to New Zealand as they had good spinners in Santner & Ajaz Patel unlike other teams. India made the mistake & paid for it.

England: Root, Aus: Smith, NZ: Jamison, Henry(best of the lot), RSA: Miller?

They are clowns because Rohit was never a good test player
And kohli average 29 in the last 5 years

So mistake was selecting those 2 clowns when we have better players who would have helped us win the series easily

Root Jamieson aren’t good when playing India in india

Root dint do all that well last time in india

Only on flat roads he did well.

Smith is goat but he had a bad series last time too in India

Henry only played one series in India and yes he did really well.
 
If India weathers the storm of retiring players, it can dominate in all 3 formats.

T20 seems sorted out.
ODI team need tp phase out Rohit and Kohli
Next retirement of Jadeja on tests will not be easy.

In odis , I think its the easiest one.jaiswal is ready to replace rohit.Sai can replace kohli. Sai's template is almost similar to kohli in odi format.he played well in sa odis and its not test format to give leg slip headaches for him.Reddy, Jurel can also be good options for odis.After this series am sure that GG will be ready to throw both rohit and kohli at first chance.In recent interviews, rohit said he will be happy with 35 (20) and occasional 80s .GG will confront that for sure.

I think Axar is good enough as a batter as Jadeja tbh.

Rohit scored two centuries on tour of England in 2021 which we ended up winning before that one off game in 2022.

Kohli has eye issues since 2018-19, he hasn't done the lasik surgery which has affected his batting.

If he had eye issues then he shouldn’t have played

It’s not a government job for him

Rohit was the reason why we left after test 4

He cost us a series win although technically we won 2-1

Rohit was a flop show since 2021 anyway. He should never have played

lmao they haven't put the Test Championship Final and Real ODI World Cup Final for more than 2 days but this keeps going strong. Just a normal series nothing more and no one won, it was a drawn series

It's because probably 90% of the cricinfo traffic is catered for Indians.
