Honestly speaking :nehra was my second favorite left arm pacer after :wasim

The guy has a funny celebration :yk and a million dollar smile :kami

But once I came across a video of him cursing Dhoni, ever since that day I stopped liking him

He's probably just injury free at the moment hence his speed and form. He's almost 36 though so I assume he's one more injury away from retirement.
 
Nehra's comeback is a serious phenomena. We have seen fast bowlers from around the world in CLT20, Wahab, Boult, Southee etc, but Nehra has been a class above.

yeah but his come back is too late at 36, normally fast bowlers use to retire at this age.

Must have watched Nehra's spell 6/23 vs England at Durban live as a teenager. Nehra was unreal that day, but after that he didn't sustain his game.

For all the slack hr gets, nehra is a very useful bowler, swings it both ways, sharpish pace and subtle changes in deliveries and slower ones.
 
Good stuff from Waleed Parnell, should be in South Africa's T20 squad. Better than McLaren and Albie Morkel.
 
While it is funny that Parnell couldn't find a better role model, Ashish Nehra is kind of underrated as far as Asian pacers go in the last 15-20 years.

Is a good IPL bowler, and wasn't bad in internationals either. I'd readily swap Rahat Ali for Ashish Nehra.
 
It happens. Nehra looked like a World Beater in 2003 WC, had pace, swing, accuracy..everything. That must have left an impression in young Parnel's mind.

One of my cousin's first Cricket idols was Shiv Sundar Das... not many remember him now.
 
I can already predict that Nehra will be the most impressive bowler this series. It is ridiculous that we preferred a bunch of young trundlers ahead of him in the ODIs.
 
Good performance by Nehra today - it's a shame his teammates didn't do the same with the bat.
 
I may go for a few extra runs, but the idea is to pick wickets. I was waiting for this opportunity for the last few seasons. Till the body holds up, I'm ready to play. Bowling 140 plus hasn't been a problem for me, really.

I still can't believe what I'm seeing - Nehra back bowling and taking wickets in a World Cup for India. Brings back great memories of 2003.
