1) Bumrah

6/33 in Aus
5/54 in Eng
5/85 in SA

2) ??

How many Asian pacers have 5-fers in all three venues? We often judge batsmen who score tons in all conditions. 5-fers are not exactly the same, but often used for equivalent of ton. You do need slightly different skill set to bowl well in all three countries.

Who are other Asian pacers with 5-fers in three countries.

He did it in the same year too..well done!

Same year can be coincidence, but I am curious about list of Asian pacers who had 5-fers in all three venues in their entire career.

What about Non Asian pacers? I know its home for a few. I’m sure Steyn would have achieved this feat multiple times. Likes of McGrath, Walsh, Ambrose too.

There should some names when you go non-Asian pacers because if you are from one of those 3 countries, you just need to take 5-fers in other 2.

I want to hear few Asian names.

Not Akram or Younis.

Nor Shoaib.

Nor Srinath or Zaheer.

Not Vaas.

Is he the first?

I am Surprised to know that neither of wasim, waqar, imran acheived this.
Wasim has no fifer in Sa
Imran didn't play in Sa.
Waqar has no fifer in Aus.

Well, if that's the case then I am not sure if anyone else except Bumrah has it.

Zaheer actually was the closest to this feat before Bumrah managed it in his first tour.

Even if we include spinner there is no one.
Murali doesn't have a fifer in aus.
Kumble has no fifer in eng
Harbhajan has no fifer in aus

Good catch.

So it seems like there are just 2 Asian pacers with 5-fers in these three venues.

And only two Asian batsmen with centuries in all ten, test playing nations. Younis Khan and Rahul Dravid.

What does any of this prove? Pretty sure Imran and Wasim would have picked up a five-for if they had played more matches there.

Question was not about 5-fers in 10 countries.

There are plenty of batsmen with tons in 3 countries.

One of the guys in my display pic too.
Courtney Walsh.
5fers in England, Saf and Australia. Hell, he took em in NZL, Pak and India too.
Pure underrated diamond.

You mean to say longevity counts after all?

Yah, Walsh got better as he aged. Fantastic bowler.

Kapildev has done it in Australia and England, but not in South Africa. So he must be second behind Bumrah among Asian pacers in this regard.

Asif and Bumrah have done it in all three venues.

There are many bowlers who have done it in 2 venues. I recall Waqar taking 5-fer in SA and he has it in Eng. There should be many other names for two venues.

Has any Asian pacer got a 5fer in all of the SENA countries?

I recall Asif doing it in NZ. Bumrah hasn't played in NZ. Only these two have done it in other 3 venues in SENA. So I recon only Asif has taken 5-fers in all venues in SENA.

Just checked it. Answer is Asif. What a waste to see him play only 20 odd tests.

Wow that's very impressive. Indeed I agree such a waste had huge potential to go down as an ATG bowler. Could have gone on to take over 300+ test wickets.

Mohammad Asif, the first one prior to Bumrah to have taken five fors in South Africa, England and Australia has taken a five for in New Zealand too. So he is the only Asian pacer to have claimed five for in the four SENA countries.

They were unlucky that they didn't get the chance to bowl against this Australian and South African players.

So Walsh, Ambrose, Mushtaq, Asif and Bumrah are the only players to get five-fers AWAY in SA/ENG/AUS. Impressive.

bumrah has come a long way from the ct final.

Although he has to watch those no-balls, now and then.
His abilities have been improving all the time.
