For certain players I agree, however I can certainly say that fakhar is better then this entire lot
 
I never feel comfortable whenever Pakistan bat first in T20s and ODIs. The batsmen always look clueless about what target to set, no hitting or strike rotation, no game awareness. They mostly play dot balls with some occasional boundaries or singles and look for their own 20-30 runs and then throw their wickets.
 
Cam someone please tell me why sajid Kham isn't good enough for this squad?

1-Saim
2-Haris
3-Babar (No better choice for now for anchor role plus with hitters all around he can work out)
4-Fakhar (More suited in Middle order vs spin and as finisher like 2021 wt20, plus his record is ordinary as T20 opener)
5-Khushdil (lack of options)
6-Irfan Niazi
7-Jahandad/Jamal
8-Shaheen
9-Abbas
10-Rauf
11-Sufyan

On current form and from available players that's the best XI i can think of for Pak in T20s. What you guys think ?

Given how crap our top order is. Swapping the tail for The openers is a solid idea.

Genuinely I'm not even being sarcastic. Thats how bad farhan and rizzu are as a pair in t20 cricket.

Well I think as long as he’s active he’s a much better option than this pool of crap players the PCB keeps on presenting.

Sharjeel will smash this Pakistan bowling line up for a 45 ball ton even now. They are so crap. Tell me one bowler who will get the better of Sharjeel in this lot? The same bowlers make these batsmen their bunnies in domestic cricket

lol very close to what I would have picked myself. I would play all 3. Hard to pick who should open but Saim as youngster should get the nod and no one is more dangerous than Sharjeel in PP.

I think Abdullah S can develop. Saim as 5th bowling option.

Lol, When I saw scorecard at 60/1 I thought 180+ was on, and now it is 117/9, not surprised though. Such a rubbish team.

Jahandad Khan is nothing special. Looks like another hack who performs in domestic but will be failed in International.
 
This drubbing means they can't live long on that ODI series win.

There are many batsman and players better than Usman khan. I would keep playing Ifthikar Ahmed if the replacement is stupid Usman

Tbh he has 15+ failures before the series in T20s, didn't really deserve to be picked, did unexpectedly perform in ODIs but took his time to get in, which he won't be able to do in T20s, doubt he would have made THAT big a difference.

But he won't be facing our Halwa bowlers in International matches bro. I was his big fan but it's too late now, we should build a team thinking long term utility.

You're viewing cricket as a stats only game when in reality that's not how it works.

Fakhar's 91 of 46 and his tei series performance as an opener in 2018 is > Anything any pakistani openee has done in recent times.

Only sharjeel + Khalid lighting the crowd in 2016 is comparable but fakhar had an entire tri series worth of performances against the likes of stark, hazlewood etc.

He's an impact player and frankly is the only guy who can get you one hit wonder scores if he kicks off.

His NZ innings in the wc was really a t20 innings due to drs.

You need someone like him at opening at all times. Stats in this day and age are useless. The 2 new ball rule implemented in 2011, home Test curation and t20 cricket as a whole have made stats irrelevant in this era.

It's all eye tests now.

He can hit well. Natural hitter.

In T20, you need players like him even if he didn't click for a few games.

Sharjeel never did let you down when he played International cricket against some serious bowlers.

Sharjeel is what Fakhar wants to be. Fakhar himself will admit this, these guys have mad respect for him.
 
Can we sack Agha from Zimbabwe tour . This is got to be worst decision to appoint him T20 VC captain . He doesn’t even belong to this side 😭

Sad state of affairs really, when we have only one single proven impact player. We should have 5-6 players like Fakhar in this format, being such a big cricketing country.

But it's 2025 almost not 2016, He isn't getting any younger, and current Sharjeel may still be upgrade over this sorry lot. And even in his Prime the sample size wasn't big enough. In short term he can still work out but I am thinking ahead.

Yep. If only thing. Asif Ali at least doesn't look urgly when hoicking. Usman legit makes me want to switch off TV that's how ugly he bats
 
Pakistan won the series that mattered (ODI series).

I think they can call this tour a success despite the wobble in the T20 series.
 
Pakistan is proving that Losing against USA was not a one off Performance .

From 58-1 ( 6 over) to bundled out 117. :kp
