Epic series. Hope more of these happen around the world with equally matched sides, though England have been a let down at times.

We're not going to get close to 240 with the openers gone this early.

Chapman looks like the Taylor replacement in LOIs IMO, he should be brought into the side ahead of Latham and Nicols IMO. Seifert can be tried as the WK.

Wrong decision by Kane to bat first. The 240 scores of the previous match will loom large on the NZ team and they will struggle to replicate it.

And as I write, Kane is gone. Bound to happen. They are under pressure to score 240 again whereas 200 would've been perfectly good.

It really was, I thought both teams would want to chase, but then I saw we won the toss and chose to bat first.

We have no idea what a good score is, in a chase it's easy as you know the rate you need to go. It's difficult here because we scored 240 here and it was chased, so they're probably thinking we need 200+ again.

4 down

The previous match is putting them under serious pressure. And they're still not learning. Horrible shot by Kane and then by Chapman. Just get to 185-190 by playing normal cricket. That's still a huge total no matter the ground or pitch conditions. In a final, the pressure will do the trick for you. NZ losing the plot here. Need Taylor to guide them here.

Can't really understand why Williamson chose to bat first again. It was a mistake on Friday and it was again today. In any event, NZ do not deserve to win this. Australia does.

I figured it was common sense that both teams would want to chase after what happened in the last game here.

No idea what the thought process behind batting first was.

I think he thought that runs on the board in the final was better (which I don't disagree with) but then they should've targeted 200 and not 240 from the start. A score of 240 is a freakish event and won't happen every game. Got greedy.

It's Eden Park. It has always been a difficult place to defend except when the ball is swinging.

Geez, we're crumbling big time.

Tbf we didn't deserve to win either, we've lost most games this series.

Wow. 10 overs left, 4 down and Grandhomme plays that shot. This reminds me of Steve Waugh's term - mental disintegration.

Another one gone. NZ showing yet again that they can't perform in pressure games

Might as well swing at everything now. Better to be all out for 120 in pursuit of 180 than to crawl to 150.

Doull and Richardson talking about Kane's decision.

It was a really bad decision, especially with Aus batting well and NZ being rubbish setting totals.

7 down

This is an awful performance.

Taylor and Williamson look out of their depth at this format. They need to either step aside or be forced out.

Slowers ball kept low, I think we should have gone for 170-180. That would have been a really good score here.

Once again in a big match kiwis can't handle the preassure. Home track bullies against likes of Pakistan, windies, BD..

Amazingly David Warner seems to be the least attacking in this batting lineup.
