Do you remember that 2011/12 phase? 0-4 in Australia, 0-4 in England. Lost to England at home too.

We literally could not have done any worse with Dinda or any other bowler for that matter. Because you can't do worse than whitewashes.

What exactly is rest of India, I am talking about people who would want English commentary when hindi or other local language is available. Why would anyone choose differently, you are confusing people who would rather listen to local language commentary to who want to listen to English commentary.

Jadeja gets whacked around a lot in T20s unfortunately. Which is probably why they went with Krunal over him. Because in T20s their bowling is more or less the same but Krunal is a better T20 batsman than Jadeja.

People who are so critical of Hardik is finally realising how important he is to the team's balance.

I know there are better pace-bowling ARs in other teams but India doesn't have too many of them. Beggars can't be choosers.

England was injuries and bad batting with bad umpiring and drs mixed in. Australia was atrocious I give you but we can't get worse than dinda.

My own domestic help's teenage son listens to English commentary for cricket matches because he wants to improve his English. He can understand Deep Dasgupta, boring as he may be. He will struggle to follow an all-Australian commentary panel.

Like I said, you are out of touch with your own country.

Is it true? I dont know Jadeja is mediocre with bowl in T20s as I don't follow much of T20. I always see him a big threat with bowl, might be confusing with formats here(odis and T20) but I rated Jadeja's bowling.

Krunal obviously a better batsmen and bigger striker than Jadeja and that is what you need at 7.

Its supposed to be commentary not English coaching classes. Call me elitist but I think most would want to actually listen to English commentary for the commentary would like to listen to Australian broadcast than this snoozefest.

Yeah Jadeja gets whacked around in T20Is and even in the IPL.

Krunal and Jadeja both suffer from the same limitations. Neither are versatile with the ball in hand and neither spin the ball a lot. So they have to rely a lot on variations of pace. It works when the pitch is holding up a bit but on flat wickets where the ball skids on, they get exposed.

As I said earlier, Khaleel and Krunal would be cannon fodder on the flatties!

Have to say, Aus does prepare flattest decks around.
 
On the basis of a goodish spell and that too against WI, some people had made Khaleel a star. Agreed its 1 game only, still he has a lot do in all areas before even being considered for India senior team.
 
What would be our fate if not for Kuldeep and Bumrah? Would say they're 2 of India's most intelligent bowlers ever, so far....

But on days that he goes for runs, I can count on all the haters to come out of their sheds, pitchforks in hand.

I like Bhuvi a lot, love how he carries himself on and off the field but still not totally sold on his bowling abilities, especially on flat decks.

However well done to him for today.
 
Australian bowlers are not good enough to defend 174 runs. Tuktuking at the beginning of the innings will cost them.
 
India's top order will have to chase down this mammoth target, India's middle and lower order virtually non existent/inexperienced.
 
Superb hitting from both sides. On these placid tracks, its the batting that wins you matches. For the World Cup, India/England/Australia are the clear favorites as they have the biggest hitters. Pakistan will struggle here.
 
Never looked settled. He has only himself to blame, not been himself ever since SA tour.

A break for him will do him (and of course Indian team!) a world of good.
 
I am sure that it was out. But, this could be blessing in disguise.
 
All on Kohli and Dhawan. Have a feeling that Aus has it.

Well, the usual pattern is he proves everybody wrong with a T20 hundred in the 1st match of the series followed by a hundred in the 2nd innings of the last match. ;) that didn't happen today!
 
Kohli's horrible day in the field ends. Proves even superman could have a bad day!
 
And with him, India's hope to get 1-0 up also go up in smoke.

Hope they remember picking bits and pieces cricketers takes you only so far.

So we are not even 1 game through and we already have kohli

1. Picking the wrong team
2. Not bowling your best bowler against the opponents best batsman
3. Making an unnecessary shuffle in batting lineup that helps no one.

So much for not making mistakes.

2. Not sure what you're referring to here
3. This is the regular batting line-up in T20s. Even in England, KL batted 3 and Kohli batted 4 in the T20s.
 
India has never won a test series in Australia and I don't think they will, even with 3 of our best payers out LOL.

2. Bumrah vs Maxwell given, just look at the nos in 1v1 between the 2.
3. Kohli rarely starts hitting from onset if you are chasing 10 an over shouldn't you be coming in ahead of the guy who is hopelessly out of form.

Kohli should be sacked as captain

1. So you want India to play with 5 tailenders in T20? LOL Krunal is in the team as the AR. Chahal is only a bowler. Selection was fine given the players we have. If Hardik was fit and playing, Chahal would always play ahead of Krunal.

2. Bhuvi's had already bowled 3 up front. Bumrah's 2 death overs were required.

3. Doesn't matter. KL scored his century in England batting at 3. This is the batting lineup you will see in T20s for India now. And if you're talking about form then Kohli's T20 form this year has been far more poor than Rahul's. Check the numbers.
 
Dinesh Karthik, why in the world are you in any Indian team ? Sanju Sampson is just rusting away while this rusted old good for nothing Karthik is in the side... Unbelievable.
 
Finch miscalculated his bowlers. Tye and Stoinis will bowl 4 overs (together) on the trot now

Drop a batsman then, you know aussie can't leg spin. How well have kuldeep and zampa bowled, you cannot say we didn't know this because we did.

That's where captaincy comes in, look how bumrah is used by MI. Did kohli not know that opponent had Maxwell or that bumrah has a great record against him.

A century from Rahul isn't something that happens every now and then. Again this was a 17 over game where you needed to hit from onset and given Raul's confidence it was a wrong decision as result showed.

KL Rahul has 2 T20 centuries in 22 innings. So it comes more often than any other Indian batsman.

Yes, it was always a compromise. It was always known that either Chahal can play or Khaleel can play. Both can't play together and you can't play with just 6 batsmen in T20s either. Fact of the matter is that we are handicapped without Hardik because we don't have a replacement pace-bowling AR.

So we will have to make do with this XI only. No other choice.
