Australia (204/8) beat Pakistan (203) by 2 wickets in a low-scoring thriller in the first ODI

Imam and Fakhar losing form collectively during the 23WC in India, and Abdullah's century against Sri Lanka sealed the deal for both as a combination. Unfortunately the selectors didn't take into account that loss in form could be temporary and Abdullah failed to kick on from that Lanka innings for the rest of the World Cup.

It's Pakistan, we take knee-jerk decisions then cry later. There is no thought process.
imam only played against Netherlands. loss of form is established after one wc game only?

It took pakistan 30 balls to hit their first boundary and Australia has done it in 9 deliveries.

Fraser living dangerously but just swinging at it.

You can tell this boy wants the game over in 20 overs

I really want smith to come good. He's genuinely a treat to watch when he's on song

Australia is one the best place to play cricket .

And here goes the overhyped JFM. He is nothing special but Australian hype him too much. Good bowling by Naseem.

Good start from the bowlers. Just so few runs to play with especially with only 4 bowlers.

Ain't no one classier then steve smith in cricket. Classy batsmen. As a test batter he is superior to anyone India has ever produced

Both the batters are nothing special. Now real batting start for Australia.

Australia is finding the Warner replacement and they are unable to replace him .

sad to see none of the opening bowlers hitting 150+ speed
Because this is real life not a video game.

At this moment in time, how many 150k+ fast bowlers are there who are decent and play all three formats?

Nortje, Wood and thats about it

There should be case study on Shaheen pace decline
Ok 133 is not peak, but for approx. the last year he has often been bowling below 130k, and anything less than 130 in international is not going to do much.

133 - 135 range is not bad, so good to see his pace be a bit back

The question is not why they are not hitting 150, it how can they drop from 150 to 130s in a span of just 1 year

133-135 is bad in Melbourne. even sean abbot can bowl that in melbourne

Im not watching the game. How are Rizwan's field settings and bowling changes? Is it PSL level captaincy or is he clueless about utilizing our mediocre PSL superstars?

Fair enough,

When talking about Pakistans pacers, Shaheen had great pace in the most pace of 2021, where he was consistently 140 and occasionally bowling 150, so yeah sad to see his pace decrease.

Hasnain will never learn.

He is the same brainless bowling machine as he was before.

You just feel the guy is bowling as if he's playing a video game, with random lengths.

Clueless brother. He just standing their?

I'm not even joking he's literally just standing their? I'm actually surprised. I hate rizwan but I was sure he'd be chirping, acting and doing nonsense 24/7, but he's just standing their looking blank lol

A Lost Cause Pakistan cricket is

Everybody wants to be a T20 player yet nobody is a perfect T20 player.
