Looks like Pakistan is still shell shocked after IND loss. Game against IND is super important for Pakistan for their confidence. Anyway, I remember Pak was bounced out by WI in similar fashion in 2019 WC which ultimately cost them Semi spot.

Yes, I also read of Shakib's return. However, I am not sure where we can fit him in ODI setup? Nonetheless, he does deserves one final farewell at the 2027 ODI WC. Once you get hit with these political cases, it's very difficult to get yourself out of it even with lot of connections in BD.

Shakib shouldn't be allowed in. He has a bad attitude problem.

BD need to rebuild. Can't go back to retired guys.

@JaDed has a habit of writing without knowing everything. He does the same with FIFA WC.

Australia were once bowled out for less than 65 in Mirpur. NZ also suffered a similar fate. England got whitewashed here (0-3).

Many sides lost badly in Mirpur. It is a good ground for BD.

Didnt see the match. Saw the highlights. It was pretty emphatic by BD which I didnt see coming at all.

Looking at Pak side theres so many new faces, its gonna take time to settle in. But future has to start with newer younger players, cant keep selecting oldies.

As for BD, Nahid Rana has arrived in LOI’s, excellent he bowled and seem’s to love playing against Pakistan. Wicket was good nothing slow and low, just Pak didnt bat well.

As of now, cricket is #1 but that may change in 20-30 years (football is getting traction).

India and Bangladesh are equal. In the World Cup India bowled out Pakistan for 114 and in the ODIs Bangladesh bowled out Pakistan for 114 as well.
Hence India = Bangladesh.

But even there Pak have made progress.
In T20 WC2024, they got 113...

As of now, cricket is #1 but that may change in 20-30 years (football is getting traction).

COmpared to 00s i see very less crowd for home games, even yesterday it was hardly 25% full

Also most games happen only in dhaka, very less international cricket happens outside, is it due to lack of interest or infra ?

Well I hope this episode of Shakib makes any active players think twice before joining a political party while still playing. No political party is certain, no matter how powerful that party is.

Yes Babar with 20 ODI centuries is average but minnow Basher Farhan who minnow bashed in T20I with pathetic stats vs SENAI has made it to our ODI team. Rizwan needs to be moved down to 6, he has lost some confidence. Tulla Usman Khan and Azam Khan are replacements. Thanks but no thanks.

Of the 20 centuries - WestIndies (5), Zimbabwe (2), Nepal (1) and Srilanka (4), 8 are against minnows and even Srilanka post 2015-16 are not considered a good team.

Stats do suggest he takes minnow bashing to next level.

He does have a decent average of 53.xx now. But seriously lacks some impactful innings given his stature.

Then again, he should get into the current ODI set up easily if not being rested.

Rizwan is someone that should be removed I feel. An average in 41.xx which falls below 40’s against SENAI is nothing to boast about. He will struggle in South Africa and no point in continuing with him.
