Pakistan (274) overwhelm Bangladesh (114) by 128 runs via DLS in second ODI to level series 1-1

so let me get this straight...

Pakistan B team lost 7 for 40 odd, didn't even play out the last three overs, had that loser dismissal of Agha, lost one bowling option due to injury, had rain reducing the target and Bangla Cats still lost by 120+ runs? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I think that might be a bad idea. Tamim is a very emotional guy from what I saw. Remember right before the world cup he quit ... Disrupted their whole team. Basing my comment from what I saw

Extremely bad idea. I do not what that geezer anywhere near bcb, he was in favour of playing the last t20 world cup despite his countryman got violated. Seems like a cunning selfish guy.

Bangladesh need Awami league supporters to perform in cricket.

Hindu brother Litton and Awami supporter Mehidy winning it for BD today.

India needs to start a covert regime change in BD for the good of Bangladesh cricket 👍

Rana sahab with saim and maaz oh boy we are going to have exciting time in white ball cricket hopefully no more riz babar anymore
InshaAllah

But we need guys to step up in the middle. Agha needs to bat ahead of both Babar and Rizwan at the very least to set the right kind of tone.

Woah. Easy now tiger. Relax its Ramadhan, dont get rattled. What you mumbling on about? Cannot save the team from what you? from you? 😂

Coming at man with such heat and that and abuses.

It’s not an excuse. Its true who he supports. Just stated facts. He is a dalal rawmileague support. Fans chanted dalal at him from the stands when he was one the mastermind behind bpl boycott along with Mithun.
Abuse is to all fans who are happy to abuse other fans. You may or may not deserve it, but BD fans as a whole deserve it.

Happy Ramadan if you are one of the better ones.

Pakistan leveled the three-match ODI series with a commanding 128-run victory (DLS method) over Bangladesh in the second ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, on Friday. The decider will be played at the same venue on Sunday, 15 March.

Opting to field first, Bangladesh saw Pakistan pile up 274 in 47.3 overs, thanks to a fiery knock from Maaz Sadaqat and steady contributions from the middle order under captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Openers Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz gave Pakistan a flying start, adding 103 runs in just 13 overs. Maaz was the standout, smashing six fours and five sixes in a 46-ball 75, reaching his fifty in only 31 deliveries. This was just his second ODI after debuting in the series opener.

Following the brisk start, Mohammad Rizwan (44 off 59) and Salman Ali Agha (64 off 62) stitched together a vital 109-run stand for the fourth wicket, stabilizing the innings after a brief stumble. Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain (3 wickets) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2 wickets) tried to pull things back, but Pakistan’s total proved daunting.

Rain revised Bangladesh’s chase to 243 in 32 overs, but Shaheen Afridi struck early, removing Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto. Mohammad Wasim added to the damage, leaving the hosts tottering at 13 for 3.

Litton Das (41 off 33) and Towhid Hridoy (28 off 38) attempted a recovery, but Maaz returned with the ball to dismantle the middle order, claiming 3 for 23 and dismissing Litton, Afif Hossain, and Rishad Hossain. Haris Rauf (3 for 26) and Faheem Ashraf (1 wicket) wrapped things up as Bangladesh folded for 114 in 23.3 overs, well short of the target.

For his explosive batting and decisive bowling, 20-year-old Maaz Sadaqat was named Player of the Match.
Would you like me to also craft a headline-style summary of this match report, the kind you’d see in a sports publication? That could sharpen the impact even further.

Salman Ali Agha shared following thoughts in post match presser today:

On the "Spirit of Cricket" vs. The Law
* "It was simply the heat of the moment. If you ask what I would have done in that situation, I definitely would have handled things differently."
* "I am someone who always aims to follow the laws of the game, but there are times when the spirit of sportsmanship must take precedence, regardless of the situation."
* "From my perspective, I would have chosen to uphold the spirit of the game."
* "I was merely trying to return the ball to him; I wasn't looking to take a run or anything of that sort. He clearly had a different idea, though."
* "Even if the ball had passed through, I wouldn't have attempted a run because I was standing directly in his way."

On Team Ethics and Pakistan's Stance
* "No, never. We haven't done anything like that in the past, and we would never do it in the future. I believe it's best we just move on from this."

On Match Performance and Maaz Sadaqat

* "The way Maaz and Sahibzada batted at the top was excellent; they forced the bowlers off their lengths and played with real aggression."
* "Maaz is the type of player who can take the game away from any opposition if he stays at the crease for 10 to 12 overs."
* "I told Rizwan that we needed two more solid partnerships to win this series. We managed one today, and hopefully, we can deliver another in the final."
* "We know we are a quality side with a strong batting lineup. If we give ourselves a chance to settle, we can score runs against any team."

On the Confrontation with the Opponent
* "I can’t recall exactly what was said between us. I’m sure neither of us said anything particularly pleasant, but it was just the heat of the moment. We are fine now."

On the Bowling Attack
* "On these types of pitches, we have a very potent bowling attack capable of dismissing any side. We bowled exceptionally well today, and we want to carry that momentum into the final game."

Batting needs major surgery despite the big win

The last 10 overs (of batting) were below par

Both teams highly inconsistent and collapsable

It seems like both teams are vying with each for who will have more brain fades in a day!

Yes and thank you for restoring normalcy. I think we could now safely assume that what happened on the first match was just an anomaly.

So the likely scenario is ,Bangladesh and Pakistan will contest a final , exactly a week after Wt20 , what an occasion it will be for both captains desperate to prove their mettle.
Yes, it will be huge event which entire cricketing World would be watching with abated breath & nervous excitement .- clash of Titans truly !!!
