Lol, being fit is an essential part of becoming the best in bussiness. If you are not fit enough you are simply not up there.

If Abdul Razzaq was more consistent he would have been one of the very best allrounders, and if Afridi had brain he would also be there...But these are also part of factors getting you up there.
 
After all the bouncer tactic good old length ball took him out. lol Windies didn't mix up enough.

Yup that is why i have so much respect for Kapil Dev. Never got injured all his career despite bowling bulk of overs for India.
 
i would have never thought that andre russell would be windies' best bowler

he is the most threatening in these 2 matches
 
Ouch Smith !! Australians got hit on knuckles in the India vs Australia Test series. They were faster balls from Bumrah, Shami, ishant
 
If they had taken the catch of Smith things would have been a lot different. Probably blown away by now.

Playing first class cricket and being managed would have helped him in regards to his fitness.

Its too early to say. After each team plays 3 games then the points table would be in a shape. You have to support the view of richer getting richer. Lol. Means top one or two position teams should win every match hence you have to support them.

Spot on. Field placing is horrible. Their bowlers create chances. They keep fielders in pointless positions on the off side for bouncers.

This is where India looks the weakest. 6 down they are still putting up a partnership. In case of India if it is 6 down game over.

Already choked. I am pretty sure they won't play Zampa well even if they survive against Cummins and Starc

ICC curators have been excellent in producing varied surfaces in this tournament.

I think Windies average 22 vs legspin since WC15. I hope they've done their homework and see out the initial burst from Starc and Cummins.
 
Problem with this strategy is Holder may get banned for slow over-rate. No spinner at all? Extremely slow over-rate. only in 38th over by now?

Pathetic over-rate. 50 overs have to be completed in 210 minutes as per the rule. Now already more than 180 minutes. 11 overs to go.
 
this is difference between australia and the rest. no team shows such resilience under pressure like them.
 
West Indies might not be able to do this on other wickets, and their short ball barrage might end up with a massive phainta from one of the better teams in this WC.
 
Bowling speeds are very slow for all the west indians today. Their effort balls gave them some discomfort.
 
ACtually scoring runs agianst these guys is not hard if you can ride them out early on. They are slow, one-dimensional. Apart from Russell to some extent Oshane they don't have any real telling variation. Russell hardly finishes his quota. You can score big against them if you see off initial part.
 
Recent record shows England,Australia, Windies have the worst bowling attack in terms of economy rate.
 
The production quality as far as content leaves a lot to be desired. There are 4 phases upto now and Smith is not a top performer in any of it which is correct when we take phases but as a whole he is the top performer. Thus it makes it farcical.

Similarly the predictor the other day showed 50 % each for Pak and Eng when Root and Butler were batting with RRR around 7. After an over of more than 10 runs, it became 49% Eng. Weird.

They don't have the fitness or the stamina to go on. I suspected that they would come crashing down by their 4th match or so but it looks they are already having issues. Pakistan were unlucky to face the windies when they were fresh on a fresh pitch. Teams should find them easier as the tournament progresses.
 
This is some pie bowling by West Indies. What a contrast. This is worse than Afghanistan bowling now.
 
Amazing recovery from Australia. From talk of the lowest score in the tournament they could now get to 300!

You need strong bowlers in the middle overs to capitalize on the start. India y day let SA get away with tail. Today WI is doing it.
 
Smith is getting booed off. How long English crowd is going to be at it? Doesn't appear to be productive lol But meanwhile that was the catch of the world cup.
 
That is why Australia is always considered a force. They never give up and everybody tries to step up.

Nathan Coulternile has already played more impactful inning in his 29 matches than so called batting all rounders like Pandya, Imad Wasim etc

Andy Bichel not once but twice bailed them out in 2003 world cup. He turned the match around with bat in both the innings.

Dre Russ looks badly hurt. He may drop out for a replacement.

Cottrell's catch of Smith was ATG fielding.

Yeah most teams crumble after 5 down for such a low score but Aussies have kept their head high and still going to post a par score. Amazing
