What's new

Australia [313/5] beat India [281] by 32 runs in the third ODI, India lead series 2-1

There is a theory that says team should be able to double whatever score they have at 30 overs. I stopped watching the game when Aus were like 186/0 at 30.0 Overs.

Aus only managed to reach 313, so I guess that theory is not fully correct.

Impressed by Kohli's 100+ scoring ability.

Haha of course it's not, this is game and not a principle of physics.

Pandya in place of Rayudu would give better chance to win such matches! You may call Pandya, Shankar, etc, as bits & piece cricketers, but they seem to do better than specialists at least in one department! This is the current trend (scoring/chasing 300+ in ODIs), every time you can't expect the bowlers to restrict opponents with assistance from pitch (anyhow they can still do that even without full bowling/batting unit! On their day Our Top 3 can score 300+ even without specialist batsmen from No.4 on flat pitches, our Top 3 bowlers can restrict opponents below 200 even without regular No.4 & No.5 bowlers with assistance from pitch!), you have to first prepare for the 300+ template because that's what is likely to happen in crucial matches! (WI chased down against India & England in T20 WC because of this factor!)

That is because Rayudu is such a low grade batsman. He would not find a place even in associate sides. He doesn't even play domestic cricket. He has retired from that. Only reason he is in the side because of CSK connection.

This! Another humble contribution from Grandpa to the cause of Indian cricket.

Lol, theory is not equal to practical. There are whole lot of possibilities in the real world. Just because something is started well doesn't mean it's end will be good as well.
