Rohit's press conference is cringeworthy. He acts as if INdia was going after the target. Either he is lying outright or talking BS. Draw was on the table when they were using Travis head.

Because it is natural tendency to go for drive , if Batsmen do not make mistakes they would never have been out. That is how game is played , when you are in real game. Chances of error is more , less time to think.
 
Now Rohit has lost 5 out of his last 6 tests. On draw due to rain. In between India won one test that was under Bumrah. We could see the difference between field set, bowling rotation everything. Rohit was just goign through motion setting deep fields for Nathan Lyon.

“It is mentally disturbing when you can’t do what you have come to do."

Pak choked Yesterday big time. No team in top 8 would have let saffers win from situation they were in When bosch got out first Ball. It was a golden opportunity to win in SA after 17 plus years and saving the series as well. Saffers have no chance beating Aussies in final. Just do not have good enough batting and with trundlers like Abbas And Naseem we reduced them to 213/8 and 99/8 in same test match. Saffers just got lucky at end because Shan forgot to captain the situation
 
Rohit has brought all kinds of negative energy into the team after his return from India, should've just stayed there.

Jaiswal was out earlier too when he was Saved by Umpire’s call . it looked stone dead in real time. There was not a single dismissal that was wrong in entire Indian innings

Third Umpire need decisive evidence to overturn on field. Rules do not say a spike on snicko is mandatory to over turn caught behind. Ball deflected decisively and Umpire made the right call

Something is wrong internally though. So much weird things happening in Indian dressing room. Rohit yelling and shouting at his players. He is screaming at everyone asking them to perform but he does eff all.

Ashwin sensed the negative energy and went "I am out ". Made the right call. I think Bumrah should retire temporarily until Rohit is the captain. If Bumrah does that Rohit will automatically retire.
 
They wasted another legendary performance from Bumrah.

One of the more shocking mistakes was turning their XI upside down to fit Rohit and revive his form. If you are hell-bent on playing Rohit and Kohli, you can't start moving players all over the place too.

For me, Rohit might be the biggest net negative right now. It was a close fight with Marsh but that guy takes some nice catches.

Terrible batting due to aging reflexes, lethargic captaincy, and harming other batsmen by changing their positions to benefit himself (including dropping Gill).
 
After Kohli physically assaulted Konstas like a coward on Day 1, I am glad Aussies and Konstas won the game.

They are the better team on paper anyway.

Don't worry they will. Australia knows that they just have to handle bumrah as the rest of the bowling attack especially siraj is useless.

And the likes of labu, Steve smith came back in form at the correct time.

All that's needed is one final Travis Head onslaught.

Even his on-field behavior has been absolutely crass and thuggish. Using abusive language insults towards his players is not something I have seen any captain do. Even Ganguly, all his dictatorial behavior notwithstanding, never used swear words.
Rohit's conduct has been downright shameful.

When kohli was captain, his pr team planted stories that he has a great man management skills.he used to sit with players with his arms around their necks, treats every player very respectfully, all juniors are talking guidance from him as kohli is too dominating and intimidating to approach. All his soft skills and captain cool nature were the reasons for mi 5 trophies.everything got busted on the international arena. Picking him as test captain is one of the worst regressive decisions. He is not a good test player in first case and always used to skip sena tours in the name of imaginary fitness issues suffered by him while practising in his own nets.

The 2011-12 Australian tour saw the end of Dravid, Laxman and accelerated the end of Sehwag, Tendulkar.

This Australian tour has already seen the end of Ashwin, might see the end of Rohit and Kohli. All good times come to an end.

Rahane was the real captain. After 36 all out took over the under strength team,Scored a 100 at the MCG won the test, drew the SCG and won the Gabba test with net bowlers.

Fact is India batted poorly in both innings.

Pant played a ridiculous one of the worst shot in INdian history. But having said that what right Rohit has to talk about his temperament and shot selection when he himself played like an idiot in India against NZ. Even here he was surviving miraculously as long as he didn't attempt a shot.
 
This was a very Pakistan-like performance by India. It was reminiscent of Pakistan's great performances in SENA where they give fans hope of a remarkable win, and then pull the rug from under them just when you feel like they are on the brink of winning, or being in the ascendency.

Letting Australia go from 91-6 and 173-9 to 234 was pretty pathetic. The match was gone then and there. And then to lose 7 wickets in one session, just put the cherry on top of an epic meltdown. The batting collapse in particular was pure Pakistan. Can't even count how many times I have seen Pakistan do just that in SENA.

Barring the first test, this has been a miserable tour for India. Serious questions need to be asked of players like Pant, but also the fast-bowlers who have been woefully disappointing and failed to support Bumrah in any meaningful way, who himself seemed to be run into the ground in this test.

It's easy to blame it all on Kohli and Rohit. And while they share a fair bit of the blame for their own failures, you can't scapegoat them for India's poor performances in the last three tests. If it wasn't for rain in Brisbane, India would have lost this series by now too.

Rahane had understrength bowling unit for 3 tests. He still managed to get more out of them. It is the captaincy. Rohit is an extremely low IQ captain. He doesn't have when to bring which bowler. Everything he does is random. He is no Rahane. Let us face it. Rahane has won Ranji Trophy for his state with weak sides. He led from the front last time at the mCG. Once Kohli ran away he made a brilliant 100 at the boxing day Test. Rolled over Australia for 195 & 200. He never took foot of the gas like Rohit did.Constant pressure was applied. India had a much waker batting line up. He made look even Ashwin, Jadeja bad in home tests.

I agree Rahane was a good captain, and a far superior one to Rohit. Besides these matches, he also led India to victory in the 2017 Dharamshala test against Australia. But I don't think you can put it all down to captaincy. Yes, it has probably played a major part, as it did in the New Zealand series. You can probably question the captaincy when it comes to the usage of Reddy. Like why is he even there as the seam-bowling all-rounder if he will bowl 8 overs in the entire match? But at the end of the day, Akash Deep and Siraj have simply failed to get the breakthroughs when India needed them most. When you bowl that many overs without much success, while the spreadhead of the attack is doing all the heavy-lifting, you have to question their performance.

Sundar when he toured in 2021 barely had first class experience. He was a net bowler. But Rahane used him effectively. He took 3 wickets in the first innigns at the Gabba. Dismissed Smith in one match. Dismissed Labu in another match. Labu was in top form at that time. Since 2021 Sundar has come a long way as a bowler. Picked 11 wickets in the recent test. Here he treated Sundar like some random part timer. He generates bounce due to his height. He never explored that option. When he did ball was very old. Everybody was on the boundary for Nathan Lyon. It was one of the most disgusting Test match captaincy i have ever seen.
 
I am a cricket fan first. Then Indian fan. But even as a neutral i would have appalled at the tactics of Rohti sharma. It was painful to watch. In the interest of the game cricket Rohti should be kicked out.

For India's sake, I hope the next test is his last. He is taking Indian cricket ten steps backwards in what was supposed to be a rebuilding phase. Who would you give the test captaincy to though? Gill or Bumrah? I think both are risky bets. Bumrah because he's a fast-bowler who plays alot of cricket and is hence prone to getting injured, and Gill because of how little he has done to establish himself in test cricket.

I just hope though that this series dispels the myth that Rohit is this seemingly great captain because he won the T20 WC. He was absolutely clueless when Klaasen was smashing the spinners to all parts. And if it wasn't for some individual brilliance from Pandya, Bumrah and SKY, India would have lost that final too.

HE did even worse thing in recent NZ series. Southee and Rachin added 100 run match winning partnership. Shockingly Bumrah did not bowl a single ball during that partnership.
 
Rahane win with an attack consisting of Siraj, Saini, Natarajan, Shardul would get smacked 9-1 in a 10 match series with Pat Cummins as captain instead of Tim Paine. The first win would be due to novelty. No wonder, Tim Paine got booted right after that series.

Bumrah won the perth test convincingly with this unit. Where was Pat then? Back then Labu was in peak form not like now. Right now Australian batting is as fragile as it comes.
 
Extremely selfish batting by Washington Sundar. Made no effort to protect the tail.
