Without a doubt. There are unnecessary cliches relating to West Indies and Pakistan about producing fast bowlers, but nothing beats Australia ever since cricket became a more globalised sport around the 2005 mark (post Ashes 2005). With McGrath, the greatest fast bowler of all time retiring in 2007, a list of serious fast bowlers that have represented the baggy green!
1. Mitchell Johnson
2. Peter Siddle
3. Doug Bollinger
4. Josh Hazlewood
5. Mitchell Starc
6. James Pattinson
7. Ben Hilfenhaus
8. Ryan Harris
9. Pattrick Cummins
10. Stuart Clarke
I believe all of them were 140+ in speed and all average below 30 in Test (I could be slightly wrong). All of them have played over 20 Tests and have a considerable amount of wickets.
Now they have launched Scott Boland and Jhye Richardson who both look like proper bowlers too! There is absolutely no doubt Australia is the true land of fast bowlers who know how to bowl in the 21st century!
