Australia lose Shaun Marsh after Pakistan declared at 400/9, leaving the tourists 538 to chase

No harm in continuing to bat. Let Sarfraz get his hundred to boost his confidence and scoring 400 in a Test back-to-back is important for this inexperienced and shaky batting lineup.

If you don't back our bowlers to dismiss Australia (with Khawaja carrying an injury) within six sessions on a wearing Abu Dhabi pitch then we ought to retire from cricket and rear chickens for a living.

Either get to the century quickly or declare, selfish and ridiculous from Sarfraz here. Batting long when he was with Babar was a good option, as it was just going to demoralise Australia but right now he's just giving them an opportunity to get more wickets, they don't seem at all frustrated at the moment

That's what you deserve when you go for personal milestone. You waste teams time and also doesn't get the desired results.

How do you let this clown get you out?

That's embarrassing

Thank god hes out, what a waste of a last hour with pointless batting!

No hundred for Sarfraz but at least he's found form with the bat.

Now let's see Abbas turn into Viv Richards.

Have a little respect. Sure his innings stagnated towards the end but without his first innings attacking knock, we would not have led by 530 odd runs...remember we were 57 for 5...

he done the same in first test. last day first hour he didnt attack. and let ausi to settle. NOW im sure he is not a captain material

Declaration coming in the next over or so. Probably just wants a breather before heading out again

I'm not against Sarfraz or anyone going for there milestone as long as team doesn't get hurt. But when Babar got out the situation was something where either the team and Sarfraz should've played at 4th gear. He might or might not get a hundred. But now after playing so many dot balls you firstly waste the time and don't get a hundred.

PAK should declare now, not a good idea to get all-out twice from such dominant position.

runs are immaterial...plan is too just tire the Aussies though I am pretty sure they wouldn't like to bat today either...

100 % you r right if i count these thing too ....

I think plan since tea was to either play the whole day or give 7/9/11 overs to Australia to bat with Abbas bowling 4/5 overs. Lol at those calling Sarfraz playing for his century and declare after he gets his ton though in actual we are still playing even though he is out now.

Last 22 overs - 57 runs and 4 wickets

really good 90 minutes or so of batting when 460+ runs ahead at time...

He didnt declare as he would have looked selfish if doing so as soon as he was dismissed.

Whats selfish about reaching your hundred when 190 overs are left?

We might need 200 overs to bowl them out.

Of course, no team has ever batted more than 143.1 overs in the 4th innings in Asia in Test history, but you never know, they might pull an elephant out of the hat.

They can very well block and defend.

This selfish strategy of blocking and allowing Sarfraz to get to a 100 is costing us. Aussies coming on top, they're getting motivated and energized.

Yeah Australia will come out 'full of energy' after chasing leather for almost three days and block for 190 overs. :salute

Chasing leather? 50+ runs in last 20+ overs, they have just been stood out in sun relaxing. Apart from fakhars inns they havent been run ragged in the field.

At least play with some aggresion rather then refusing singles with tail in, again another batsmen who was playing well slowed their inns down to block mode then got out.

No need of overreacting. The game probably won’t even stretch till day five.

Chasing leather refers to being out there fielding, doesn't mean that they literally need to be chasing every ball in the field...

Btw, no one 'relaxes' in the sun in summer in UAE. Not exactly pleasant.

That was a beauty from Mir Hamza. Just shows you if you bowl it in the right areas...

What a delivery was that . Can’t believe Wahab played over him

Bhai pace is pace yaar... right Chief Destroyer?

Doesn't matter if Wahab bowls filth as long as he can touch 145kph

I know it is early days but Hamza is going at nearly 7rpo... needs to bring that down to apply pressure. If batsman are scoring freely they won't feel they are in a corner and under seige.

Abbas is hitting the pads once every over.... a wicket is around the corner hopefully

Man how wonderful a bowler this guy is.... the ball after pitching on the same spot can hold its line or dart in sharply

Sarfaraz should come up to the wickets when Finch is batting.

Thank God for Michael Hussey otherwise listening to this commentary panel would've been torture. Will miss him in the NZ series.

Will have to listen to Iain smiths anoying voice during that series!

Fully expect Australia to bat 150 overs here. This pitch has nothing in for the bowlers.
