But some PPers want to declare here![]()
It's to get a couple of overs in at the Aussie openers before close of play, maybe even scalp one.

Still 10 more minutes.
Do The Australian commentators know Naseem is only 16?![]()
Watch the wicket fall now..Aussies were just toying with these two.
P.S. Why is Abbas not playing?
Warne wants to give him a cuddle. awwwwn.![]()
Can't declare with Imran just 95 short of his maiden test hundred.
That's just harsh.
Declaring would be stupid, there are 4 days left and each run counts.
Abbas is your main striker.Seeing that the ball is moving A bit makes me think we Should have played Abbas
Wasim “I reckon” Akram needs to stop talking about himself.
Pakistan cannot afford to expose the tail to the Aussies with the new ball.
Pakistan did a Pakistan in all 3 sessions today...
You said no one would come to watch over 13000 people here to watch at the Gabba don’t you think that’s quite a lot of people to come watch a mediocre side like Pakistan
How do you figure we do that? We're carrying 3 #11s..

31-0 but when i wake up
It will be 257 and Aus 40/2
Because that's pakistan cricket for ya
I don't even have to try with you....Your replies are further proof of what I've written.
Watching Pakistan play is so much fun. I don’t know why will someone not watch them playing.its like proper amateur cricket where anything can happen
Pakistan has already punched above their weight.
Need to restrict the Aussies under 300.
And we have a big chance of winning...
Exactly and the good thing is day 1 is gone and Aussies haven't had a bat. The more we can stretch the game the better our chances I say.
Indeed, we should remember it will be the Aussies who have to bat on a 4th/5th day pitch and not us if we are able to restrict them.

The equation is simple for both teams. If Australia is still batting at the close of play tomorrow, it is all over for Pakistan.
Australia will collapse. Our bowling unit is potentially good. I am excited for tomorrow's play.
Great start wasted. Sadly we keep losing from strong positions.
Only hope is to keep Aus to 250-300 but almost impossible.

In recent times Pak has been able to go into good positions as they did in SA as well on few occasions. That is where pressure comes in and Pak struggles when there is actually a chance to do well and something is at stake.
So happened again today. Though from 78/4 I would take 240 as its atleast better than being wrapped up for 150 odd.
We should never have been 94-5 from 75-0 looking at the pitch I believe we left 100-120 runs on it.
I think that while Shan and Azhar batted well, Aus was pretty poor with their lengths in the first session. Once they got the lengths right wickets started to come (Yes Babar’s shot was a self inflicted wound), it wasnt as easy to bat as the first session made it look like and Asad I think played really well.
Cummins was saying that there was quite a lot of bounce and balls even from the good length were going way over the stumps to which they adjusted well by bowling more fuller from 2nd session onwards.
Pak bowlers needs to get the fuller length right straight away as they cant afford a poor session with the ball to learn. If the bounce from the fuller length remains intact on the 2nd day and wickets of Warner and Smith are taken early then you never know.
