Anybody who blames the bowling today needs to learn how cricket is played. Bowling doesn't win you LOI cricket nowadays.

The minnow level batting and fielding are having adverse effects on the psyche of our players in general. The batting and fielding are so bad that its expected of Pakistan now. Mediocrity being accepted will lead to such mentally weak players coming up from the domestic cricket.

The sad part is nobody has an answer as to how to fix the batting and fielding. Everybody just wants the bowling to keep saving us in an era where bowling is an after-thought now.

Amir gets unnecessary hate just because he doesn't take a 5fer every game and wins you matches. Sure, he's not as good as you hoped he would be but he is still your best LOI bowler IMO.

Its the combination of all , our bowling did well in the first two matches. Batting is the biggest worry though and even with slow batting we are ready to persist with guys like hafeez , azhar and shafiq in the top order. Such batting is obsolete in modern day cricket for a long time now , pakistan need to try all the hacks like khalid latif , shahzaib hassan oh heck even umar akmal at the top order ( top 4). Gone are the days when a 80 in 110 balls from the opener was considered good enough. Pakistan is still obsessed with the batting stability which in the end doesnt matter if you cant score@ 6 rpo.

I am surprised Ian chappell's comment of not inviting pakistan if they don't improve, didn't draw criticism from within the current batch of aussie players and coaching staff given their dwindling stocks and the fake reputation they are able to grow playing Pakistan. If i were an aussie player i would keep inviting Pakistan every summer ))

There is a type of player in every team - these are high confidence player than their ability. Now like Maxi, G'homme, Soumya, Woakes ...... I have almost always seen these players doing better against PAK.

He's looked to be the best batsmen IMO too. So, its a gamble. But yeah, PCB needs to set a trend and fitness needs to be given importance so dropping him would teach a lesson to others.

He has still been poor and will continue to be poor, it's just that our standards are so pathetically low that any batsman who can score 20 runs on average and the odd 50 at a SR of 100, immediately looks like our best batsman.

No serious cricket team will play Sharjeel. It's just that we are minnows in ODIs right now.

So it's not great bowling effort but it's stil very good effort in these conditions vs this batting. So if you have to blame then plz blame fielders not bowlers.

Doesn't matter , match is done for us if the target is above 240 might as well enjoy australia batting.
