As I suspected (in the other thread on this game), they've rested 2 of their main players - not showing their hand early. Just like they did v India prior to the WC...and they avoid Aus in Semis:)

Shame that from SL perspective. The key to beating Aus of late is to allow them to score 300+ and then chase it down :P

This is the Tom Moody influence - showing tactical nouse - and thinking ahead.

Disappointed not to see Vass and Murali. I understand the tactics but it reduces the appeal of the game a lot.

Should be an exciting match, cheering for Lanka of course!

Im looking forward to watching malinga bandara bowl later.
hes a very good ODI leg spinner and could cause aussies
problems later.

Lankans wobbling.

Sangakara given out LBW - looked high to me

Hmm..Hawkeye suggests it was going over. Aleem Dar took his time - I think he changed his mind.

Good appeal I guess...

How did they manage to get Mcgrath on to the pitch?

Thuranga now gone. Edged Bracken to Hayden at slip who takes a good catch

This is ridiculous come Australians and the rest of the world become mouses!!!

or rather the subcontinent teams become chooway!!

Sangakarra was the key to the Sri Lankan batting and he fell to a poor decision today. 'Tis a shame, was looking forward to seeing his batting.

Rifqi says: "I'm surprised they didn't give Marvan Atapattu are chance today. With a semi-final berth assured. This would have been ideal time to give him a chance to gain some form against a formidable opponent. Wonder what would happen if he's asked to bat in the finals with no match practice."

Have to agree with Rifgi....

somehow i got the feeling SL don't mind losing this game and being the number 2 seed so they can face NZ on a spinning track.

Aleem Dar is a knob, awful decision, giving Kumar out lbw.

That was a while ago, you still holding a grudge?

Wow, Jayawardene playing some sexy shots!

Can they last another ten overs, thats the test now that they have finally got going!!!

Why from being that evil thing from big trouble in little china have you become a strong carrot for?

130 runs partnership after being 27 for 3...why cannot Pakistani players do the same:(
