By each day, I am just wondering how PAK managed to lose 2 ODI to those Zimboks (would have been 3, barring rain at Lahore). This is really a poor SRL side, that too missing their best 2 players & they literally beat Zimboks by innings in 1st ODI.

All these only suggests to me that PCB needs to arrange some ODI against SRL, NZ, BD & if possible SAF before 30th SEP cut off - otherwise things are not looking good. WI has home ODI series against ENG & they'll win at least 1 of those 3 - if they beat SRL in remaining 2 matches including Final, PAK will left out to beat AUS 3-2 & than make the SF of CT2017 in early English summer .............. under Azhar Ali.

You nailed the conclusion, not much to write after that. However, my post wasn't about Qualification - top 8 sides on ranking table, as of 30th SEP 2017 will qualify - my post was about how it can be worked out. It won't be same like SEP 2015 - you can avoid risking loss losing point by avoiding matches outside FTP, from 8th spot; but it doesn't help from 9th spot.
