I think aussies playing for stumps, not a good idea , should get whatever runs are on offer.

Great comeback by the Indian bowlers. They might still loose the match but they surely have competed in this one

Ponting and Hussey both have saved their carrier with this match. Good for Cricket

performance against this average indian side is a boost for their confidence, but the real test is against good sides

Just as I hoped Kholi fails with the bat hopefully he will fail the 2nd innings as well which will see Sharma in for the next match.. Kholi doesnt have what it takes to play on bouncy wickets..

no they missed the trick with the ball on the second time also

Dravid once again WELL DONE for that Kamran Akmal like dropped catch, as always you never let me down....

The OZ will be kicking themselves for missing an opportunity.

And even the indians will be kicking themselves for missing the opportunities. 250 par target.

230-8 then, silght advantage to Aussies,Dravid drop was so crucial

So stumps and OZ lead by 230 with two wickets remaining.

I say a target of 260-280 in 4th innings for India

I had forgotten how annoying it is to have the cricket cut off just because it's 6pm and the news is up. :pissed:

One way or the other the Australians sure do provide us with some entertaining test cricket, this match will be a blinder

250 is always a tough chase in 4th innings of a Test match. If Aussies can somehow reach 270-275 that will make them favorites.

no they are happy, they utilised every opportunity india presented before them
Which match are you watching??A repeat telecast of an earlier match??We dropped less catches then aussies.Even hussey's drop has not costed us much yet.Still you are rambling. If you forget I would like you to remember india chased similar total in Adelade quite comforatbly against better attack. As a spectator I would gladly be in India's position rather than ausies. One good partnership from indians and we will get the target easily.

Not picking the last 2 might be good in a way for India as they wont have to face new ball right at start when pitch has some moisture.

Anything under 240, India will be favourites but won't be easy. Laxman will have to step up as we can't really depend on Kohli and Dhoni.

230-8 then, silght advantage to Aussies,Dravid drop was so crucial

Dravid is the most relaxed fielder,he always get comfortable positions in the field,he only need to concentrate on balls coming to him and he misses the sitters. He dropped bravo against windies in a similar fashion by helping him to score a big hundred and finally the match ended in a draw.He is not showing any honesty to the fact that he is the leading catcher in the test cricket

Kitna bore karega yar . Hes near 40 , clearly his reflexes and Concentration levels are not the same anymore .

calm down man,iam following the match from day one.Just think about the three crucial moments which india failed to utilise in this match plus the donkey fielding efforts from our fielders

its always 50-50 chasing 200+ scores in tests ..we chase well compared to most teams , but GG has been a huge factor in those wins which is a concern considering his current form ..we ned to avoid 30/3 kind of situation , else we should be fine even if the target is ~270

imagine India dropping Ponting , Haddin and Siddles' catches.

No that pain is only registered for Pakistan fans.

he need to focus on his job rather than just going after other things. There is no place in the field to hide him if goes on dropping sitters. He had already done it in england, india and now in australia,

what other things is he going after?

are you seriously questioning Dravids commitment of all the people ?

230 lead now... maybe aussies wanna target 270 tmrw morning! hussey needs to get more strike and hit boundries rather than blocking and taking singles!

Hi guys, new over here. Not new to cricket though. Following it for years even though I'm just 20! Coming to Cricket,What a day of test cricket again. Just when you think 1 team is ahead of the other, the other one strikes back. If India can restrict Aussies to another 20 runs which means a target of 250,then surely it's advantage India. If the target is 300,then advantage Australia. But what a comeback by the Indians. It's great to see us having 3 seamers who all can take wickets. In the past,we have had 2 decent seamers and 1 very average seamer who always leaked runs and thus gave the advatange away. Now,Zak swings it well,is brilliant with the old ball. Ishant is more of a back of a length bowler with good pace and Umesh is genuine quick. I like the way he just runs in and goes flat out. We always have had good spinners and that's why we are unbeatable at home. But if these 3 can remain fit,add to that Praveen Kumar,Varun Aaron[Who r unfit at d moment]. then we have a good pool to choose from! Right now, match evenly poised!

hi,seems like u an Indians.get the flag there:D

coming to cricket,I think 275 would be tough too.our batsmen havent done well overseas for a while now.buy yeah good cmback.

Well 275 will be tough. Yes. But with 250 in,I'll back India. Key will be Sehwag, even if he scores a quick fire 40-50,we'll be 100/2 which will be great and we all know how well Laxman plays in the 2nd innings. Kohli will be under pressure though. He knows Rohit Sharma is sitting there who many believe should be playing test cricket instead of him there at 6. It'll be a gr8 day for sure. Cricket is a winner anyways! And yes,I'll get the flag. New here. Don't know all these signatures and things. Always been active in cricket discussion on facebook or anywhere for that matter. This site impresses me a lot. Passion for cricket is what brought me here. Looking forward to a good discussion with my Pakistani brothers and others too!

GM all :P

Looks like we screwed ourself , we might have got a decent lead..

Saw the highlights , Dravid dropped one of the easiest catches given by Hussey :po:
he is regularly dropping catches there at the slip

he need to focus on his job rather than just going after other things. There is no place in the field to hide him if goes on dropping sitters. He had already done it in england, india and now in australia,

+1
He is dropping one or two sitters in every match :(
probably if Laxman was there at the slips he will also do the same :p
age is catching up

That we are in with a chance after day 3 in the first match of series is itself an achievement. With 230 on the board and another 30-40 runs a real possibility, Aussies have got this nearly in the bag unless we bat out of our skins or Aussies start bowling rubbish.

Once again the famed batting line failed to seize the opportunity despite a firm foundation. Not long before we will have to revamp that top 6. The slide has gone on for far too long.

Dravid likes to take all the blame.
If laxman was there at the slip he might have done worse than dravid.

But still dravid is dropping sitters regularly in the last 5 or 6 tests

I think India will win this with ease. I cant see them batting as badly as they did in 2nd half of their 1st inns. Australia will need to some how get the lead up to 270 to make a game of it.

India will have no better chance to go 1-0 up here in the series.

I don't see India losing this test match, sehwag, sachin, laxman, dravid, so much experience vs hilf, siddle and pattinson is like taking a candy away from a baby :inzi
