laxman has to keep the scoreboard ticking. he's the set batsman, and he can play the bounce better than dhoni
 
They are not giving anything up to laxman. they want to contain, frustrate him. Dhoni, I doubt he has it in him to survive in this condition and situation for long. I have some hopes on kumble though

Im here bhai. It is very difficult to predict for Dhoni because he is plyaing at Perth not at Jamshedpur. :P

If India goes all out under 340 Aus will win it if India manages to score around 370-380 its India's game.

I am gonna consider myself in the stadium where we have a group of guys supporting aussies and a group of guys supporting India, and our groups r quite close to each others seatings, so when you say Go Aus Go, we r gonna say in return Go India Go, just to drive you crazy. :))

Amirbhai, whom will you support when Aussies play Pakistan? I am not understanding the "we". It would be more pertinent if Aussie word is used instead of "we".

Are you from Australia? If yes, then no problem supporting Aussies. If not, then "we" word sounds funny especially with aus-pak series in the pipeline
 
why are they not bringing brett lee? rather giving a free ride to dhoni with symonds and clarke!

There is so much time left in the game. Even if Laxman and Dhoni play for the rest of the day and add only 50 more runs also, it'll make no difference.

Key is to not lose wickets. Aus bowling over rate is bad. Ponting will have to get his part-time bowlers like Clarke and Symonds into the attack. Thats when the scoring opportunities will come. Be patient .. like Dhoni :-)

I see. But he should have still persisted with lee/clarke because I am sure he would have ended it by now in that case. Dhoni cant survive an over from Lee IMO

India need a big partnership of above 100 to find a commandable position in this test match.

With every run over 300 the Aussie spirits will drop ....next target for India is 330 ...making it the highest ever total to be chased at the ground...

This innings of Laxman is worth its weight in gold. He has already taken India to a fighting position with Irfan & Dhoni. But he needs to continue sheperding the tail to a lead of 350 plus
 
Bowden has just allowed 2nd 5 ball over of this match. Bizarre.

while its awesome for India, I cant understand why he does not get lee/clarke. what is ricky's point with symonds/clarke? he does not have to worry about overrate, its a matter of 5-8 overs once lee gets dhoni

I reckon Australia would have backed themselves up to 350 ....but doubts will really creep in their minds now...good play by these two..
 
I asked my grandma, she said give the bowling to either lee/clarke/johnson/tait and not to symonds or m clarke.

This is fixed. You they fix match situation sometimes, like let india score 400 and some xxx$

What pisses me off is such an average bowler like Symonds gets him out. Aussies are amazing man. Few months ago, Symonds could barely make the team/get selected. Thusfar, he's been Aus's player of the series.

I dont think that it was clean. Just see the replay. He caught the ball and in trying to stand up he just grounded the ball.
 
Who's in favor of Laxman just going all out and smacking the **** out of bowlers to get as many runs as possible?

The indian tail has already crumbled like little girls two times before, I have 0 confidence in RP and Ishant.
 
More importantly India need to survive until tea ....so that Austalia dont get the long breal to think about their batting...

Surviving till tea is good, Laxman should just go all out and see how far he can stretch the lead. Trying to "bat out" is useless, there's way too much time and the innings could end in a few balls as it has the past two instances.

I dont understand, why indans are playing unorthodox, hopeless shots during the most critical time? Dhoni-Laxman was the most critical partnership that might decide the result..When partnership was growing in full flow, Aus lost all hopes..Dhoni played that evil shot similar to Dravid did in first innings against same bowler. Unforgivable..

But a timely contribution from him of 38 valuable priceless runs
