Lot of Indian fans here on this board kept their feet grounded. It was T20. India beat Australia. They went overboard, because it was the first official T20 title. India was expected to be eliminated in the first round. They won it surprisingly. Few people will definitely go overboard. We have discussed enough about this on a few other threads. Australia can beat the hell out of India. But it still can't change the fact they lost their first ever T20 semi finals to India.

In ODI matches on flat deck with improved fielding, Pakistan have more than one bowler to produce chances to get wickets of Gilly and Symond, while India proved they could only win if they bat first.

Instead of accepting the truth, and understanding the reality that some of the batsmen made this loss more respectable; they are blaming:

1) Symond catch drop
2) Close LWB against symond not given
3) Gangully was LBW but not given, which in their opinion was also a decsion againt India
4) Sending Dravid ahead of Yuraj
5) ICC not picking Shastri as one of the field umpire.
on and on.

Aussies lost wickets at crucial stages but they know how to recover and they proved it. They droped chances but they knew how to take wickets again and they did it. If you have 4-5 IFs in a match and you lost almost 5 matches to a team then you should accept the truth and cheer the fact that it was nice you didn't lose with a HUGE margin rather both teams kept you interested until the last 12 balls.

spot on... i think dravid needs a breather... he is low on confidence and for once, the mental strength often synonymous with dravid is wanning. though i feel he will be back in form against pakistan for their bowling, good though it is, is not in the same league as that of australia (and add ot that the fact that he wont be under the gun to score at a trot).

if however, he fails in the pakistan india series, his ODI career would be in jeaporday with people like uthappa, rohit sharma, manoj tiwary, gautam gambhir and dinesh kartik nipping at his heels.
