Awkward moments...

Walking down the hallway, there is always this person you're not sure if you should say hi to, coz you know em but you don't know em.
 
the general awkwardness when you feel like beein a gangsta and say "what's up ma nigga" to your black friend accidently

This is a very true one. Once you have passed the age of the kiss on the cheek being permissible, it becomes very awkward. Neither you or the aunty knows what to do. What usually ends up happening I find is that as you crouch down, to allow the seated aunty to greet you, you stick your cheek out and she ends up stroking it. Very awkward.

It's like an inbetween manoeuvre for the kiss on the cheek (For under 16s) and the pat on the back (For over 40s). The pat on the cheek.
 
When your classmate catches you alone and tells you he likes you very much.. v. v. awkward!

Lol, I know how you must have felt..I once refused to shake hands with my class fellow, and his friends were there with him as well, and I just wouldn't budge and my friends thought I was being rude! meh

Lol ... best to resort to the salam from a distance to avoid such awkward moments.

Haha yeah it was really embarassing.

Especially the way she just looked at my hand and turned her head away. Haunts me to this very day. :facepalm:
 
the awkward moment.. when you hear the maghrib azaan..and break your fast... only to find out its coming from TV on Saudi Channel which is one hour ahead!

When your father bans you from coming downstairs just as you're about to walk out of the house for an errand because his friend just rang the doorbell and the clothes you're wearing (jeans and a long sleeved button up shirt) are too inappropriate.

Hopefully he'll leave before iftari so I can go downstairs to eat?!

Baba Zayed was more than a real father to Emaraties and expatriates too. I remember most of Pakistanis were sad too on his death, Baba Zayed was a true leader of this region and he had a very soft spot for Pakistanis in his heart. May Allah (SWT) bless Baba Zayed with Jaanah (Ameen)
 
The moment when you walk in to a party or house and don't immediately introduce yourself to someone - and the awkward moment that ensues while you're debating in your mind whether you say Hi or just continue basking in ignorance of them.

The moment when you are praying in a masjid, and looking around infront of you at the dude walking by - only for that guy to look straight at you and catching you looking around when you shouldn't be.
 
When you mistakenly get up from sajda in second rakat, while everyone else in the masjid sits. :moyo
 
The awkward moment when you are sat in the Masjid and you just generally browse around (as you do) and then some guy who is standing up and praying decides to look you straight in the eye - wth man, that is odd

When someone tries to make you talk when your mouth is full of food.
 
When you arrive late at a silenced meeting place/congregation around a table with unknowns, you meet one or two of them (closest to you) by default and cannot decide whether to go and meet the rest. All eyes are on you the whole time.

When you (tired from the previous 20 rakat's of Taraveeh) forget to put your hands up when reading Witr just before the last Sajda and you bend over whilst the others lift their hands (i actually havent done this so far this year, but did do it once last year...embarrassing lol)

Lol...Also there's plenty of confusion during Eid Salaah, when people don't have a clue when to fold your arms and when to release them.

lol yeah, before i didnt really used to listen to the Imam who explained it beforehand and used to 'slow down' my Namaz to 'go along' with what the guys next to me did lol :moyo

Yeah done that before as well lol, gets awkward when the next man doesn't have a clue as well and eyeballs start rolling sideways. It's not that hard though once you learn it once. :azeem
