You are entitled to hold personal views. You are entitled to not want your children to grow up and becoming homosexual even if it is socially acceptable. What you are not allowed to do is publicly abuse, isolate and hurt the sentiments of homosexuals. That’s where the line is, and we are talking about this line being crossed in regards to racism.
Let’s say I do prefer to hire the Pakistani because apparently that’s what all of us would do here, is that your justification to why white people are hired over brown people in cricket? Because at first your argument was that these brown people complaining about racism are not as good as their white counterparts, and therefore cry racism to hide their failures. Make your mind up first!
Is racism a “personal view”? So you will be okay with people like Vaughan, Lloyd, Ballance etc. looking down on Asians as long as they don’t do so publicly and don’t act on it?
The issue that it is not possible to separate your personal views from your workplace behavior. If you hold racist views against a group you will inevitably act on it at work if such a situation arises.
If you hate black people, sooner or later, your hatred will show at work.
Yes, you are correct. This is my justification of why white people are preferred over brown people in the English cricket circuit.
Frankly speaking, unless the brown player is far better than his white competitor, he will not be preferred.
For example, Moeen Ali is a rubbish cricketer, but he is the least rubbish spin bowling all-rounder that England have had over the last decade, and that is why he has been pretty much the first-choice Test spinner for England since that coward Swann ran away like a chicken in the middle of an Ashes series.
And that is normal everywhere. Do you think a Shia, Ahmadi, Christian, Hindu or Sikh would get preference over his Sunni counterpart unless he is considerably superior? No he will not.
Pakistanis are such hypocrites that they will support the systematic discrimination against minorities in Pakistan but will play the victim card in the West and demand equal rights.
They will cry about the systematic racism in English cricket but will not focus on the racism (gender discrimination) in the constitution of Pakistan that clearly stays that a non-Muslim cannot be the head of state.
Asians are delusional if they think they will get equal rights and recognition in the west. No, that will never happen. That is not how the world works. There is not a single racism free country / society in the world. It is humanly impossible.
