A lot of credit goes to the way the Pakistan side bowled; they put the ball in the right area and got a bit of movement and bounce which made life difficult by nicking a number of guys off but the fight shown in the middle and back-end was outstanding to get us in a position where we were competitive

The partnership between Babar and Haris - they both played beautifully well and took it away from us

Tough match all around, but certainly a lot of credit to Pakistan

Nice wasn't it (Shadab's delivery to dismiss him)? He's bowling well and it was obviously taking a lot of turn out there and there were definitely some tough periods but we tried to soak it up and we thought if we could get to 230-250 then you could be competitive

Pakistan soaked up (the pressure) nicely and played nicely

To be honest I was always pinning my hopes on these two for the chase, simply because they are the two genuine batsmen, rather than specialised 'big hitters' who we usually hope will come good.

Yes they might well struggle if they are chasing a higher R/R, but still more chance of them doing it than some slogger who will hit one six and then get out.
