Some say he is not a t20 material.
Some say he should not play tests.
Others say he palys selfish innings in lols and he is mentally weak.

But the fact is he is a future GOAT and has done exceptionally well so far.

Show your support for Babar azam.:salute

Babar will end up being Pakistan's greatest all format batsman ever, not a doubt about it in my mind. In Sha Allah

I've supported many Pak players in past. Saeed Anwar, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib.... Because they were quality players.

Babar doesn't fit in any format. he will be a stats marvel due to his selfish approach. I don't rate him. There are probably multiple other unselfish Pak batsman out there who deserves more.

Fastest to 1000 t20 runs by innings.
He will prove all the naysayers wrong.
Admit it or not he is our best batsman.

he's become a better T20 batsmen than I would have thought, given his lack of power

I would say T20 is his strongest format. Backbone of T20 (and ODI) teams and has a chance to go down as the best Pakistan LOI batsmen ever if he keeps this pace for next 15 years

ATM he is the only player who fits in all formats from Pakistan.
He is not selfish. He plays according to situation and he is a backbone of Pakistan batting lineup only reliable and consistent batsman from Pakistan

And I am sure he is near to become Pakistan's test batting backbone too

Nasir Jamshed was once touted the same. I'll be skeptical about him.

Not good enough in T20s yet. Need to learn to accelerate. Will easily score run a ball though.

Good in ODIs. But there too an extra gear is needed.

He has gotten great start (which many other pak players have got) but does he have ability to get better after every match from here? Specially when people will start expecting every match from him.

The number 1 ranked T20 batsman in the world is not good enough for T20s yet. The PP armchair experts are hilarious sometimes.

He may be a little selfish and I'm glad he is. After a decade of mediocre batsmen who could neither occupy the crease, nor score consistently, I'm glad we have an accumulator who actually possesses the ability go on and play the big innings.

Also, coring quickly on these slow UAE wickets is not easy. Yet he still ended up with a SR of 136 today.

Has helped build the total in every game in both series' apart from I think one, but he's not good enough for the format. Strange one from people...

He is developing well. I hope he can improve in tests and learn how to accelerate in LO . This will take him to the next level.

Today's knock was probably his best in T20s.

Decent strike rate.

Actually he has a hunger for runs. Which is a rare thing in Pakistan batsmen.
I am glad his role model is VK

My exact reaction... Also the fastest to 1000 runs in T20 history ahead of folks like Kohli, Finch, Warner, Gayle, ABDV etc etc is apparently not good enough for T20s.... :)))

Any questions over Babar against top teams? Yes he does need to work on a few things but he isn't a minnow basher at all.

I do believe he is the best ODI and T20 batsman in the world. Just needs to work on his performance in Tests, he is more than capable of claiming the #1 spot in Tests as well.

Not sure if your trolling, but no Pakistani here will say he is better than Kohli or even several other players.

I am glad in the last overs he tried to look for the big shots atleast and didn't selfishly crawled his way to a hundred.

Some arm-chair experts here will still call him selfish. They will ofcourse remain arm-chair experts.

Finally a Good inning today in a test match.A match winning. more to come babar

That's your BD minnow mentality. You need your best players to score hundreds. Clutch fifties aren't enough.

They are depending on the pitch. Babar is scoring great knocks in difficult conditions. Btw Bangla batsmen do score centuries nowadays, that Mominul guy already has 8 test tons if I am not wrong.

Yes Babar's knock was very good yesterday but he has the potential to be great. For that he needs to score hundreds like kohli or Root or Williamson do. Don;t be happy with 50s. Mominul I think has tapered down after they found a kink in his technique. He is what you call a HTB and FTB rolled into one.

Phenomal in LO but not sure about test yet after yet another failure in what could have potentially been the most crucial innings of the series.

He played the ball just fine, but it stayed low. Not much you can do in such situations.

A lot of people just look at the scoreboard and base a judgement. He played it fine but it didn't bounce much and you can't do much with the bowl he got from rabada in the second innings.

I think its fair to say Babar Azam is starting to show that he really could be the world class batsmen we desperately needed.
